Comment:  I found it difficult to keep flat while trying to remove the backing -- kept trying to stick to itself.

Hi Suzanne, one thing that really helps is to cut the length of felt ribbon that you're going to use (or slightly more), then remove just a bit of the backing from one end so you can attach that end to your project. That way, you have one end anchored, and you can slowly tear off more of the backing while you attach the felt to your project. I have really good luck using the ribbon in this way, rather than removing the backing all at once. Hope this helps :)
