No cartridges needed! Just use your computer instead! This digital cutting tool connects to your computer just like a printer, but instead of printing designs, it cuts them. It cuts paper, cardstock, vinyl, vellum and other specialty papers. And because it's connected to your computer, you'll have access to all your fonts, plus clip art and other designs. Use for wonderful scrapbook designs, cards, glass etching, paper crafting, vinyl decor and more!

Silhouette comes with software that includes 50 images. Also, you'll get 1 cutting blade with 3 different blade caps, along with cutting mats, and vinyl transfers. The 9" wide opening allows you to use material from 1"-39" long and the Silhouette cuts images from 1/4"-8" wide. Best of all, you don't have to invest in expensive cartridges!

Silhouette SD is compatible with PC and Mac computers.

Comment:  There is no love like the love I have for my sillhouet it is the greatest machine out here today and I should know I have just about them all. this machine will cut anything do anything and can fit in your bag to go anywhere, with no cartridges to by you are free to create the way you see fit, (srapping in the middle of the night and need an image stores all closed hubby has the car, no worries just click on the store icon in your software and start shopping, you can cut, print, design and much more with it I wouldnt trade it for the world it is the best scrapbook pruchase I have ever made

Comment:  This is the most fantastic machine I have ever used. You can do things with the silhouette that you could only dream of doing with the other machines, like filling a design with fill patterns and color, printing it on your own printer, and then have your silhouette cut it out for you because the optic lens can read your pattern. Or make double sided print paper, make strips of border with the duplicate feature, and so much more. You can use those smaller scrape because you can determine the size of paper needed and where to cut - you won't waste a large sheet. I could never wrap my head around spending a lot for a cutting machine and then paying $80. for design cartridges. The Silhouette seems pricy at first, but when you consider you don't need to buy cartidges full of designs you won't use, this is a steal. Down loading a new designs for a specific use is easy and less expensive, and there are thousands of designs to choose from. If you are ready for a cutting machine or just want a new one, this has to be the one.
