Card making just got easier with this flip card cutting die! This card making cutting die from Sizzix is the easy way to make a flip-it card. The die works in most die cutting machines, including the Sizzix BigShot (link) and is a great addition to your card making supplies. When you open the die cut card, the shaped center section flips, revealing a hidden message or image. Stamp your message on the flip section or glue a flower on one side and add a greeting on the reverse. Decorate your cards with brads, pearls, rhinestones, and other embellishments. You'll love the look! Cutting die measures 6"x8¾" and works best with heavyweight paper or lightweight cardstock.

Good news! This DOES work with a Cuttlebug. You need 2 extended "B" plates to make it work & you have to run it through twice to get the scoring. Here's what I did:
Place an extended "B" plate on the bottom, then place the thick cutting plate on top, with the opening facing up. Next, place your paper. (I used an 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of cardstock cut in half; so the starting piece was 8 1/2 by 5 1/2). The die actually cuts out the whole card, so you will have a "frame" shape left over. (If you're creative, you'll find a way to use that frame on another project.) Then top off your "sandwich" with a second extended "B" plate. (Your "B" plates need to be in good working order, not warped. Sometimes the warped plates will still work with the paper thin cutting dies, but they will not work with this thick die.) Run it through your Cuttlebug forwards and backwards. If you only run it through once, the score lines aren't well defined, but if you go forwards and backwards, your score lines will be usable. When you fold your card, have the heart on the left and fold it in half on the middle score line. Then, with the card folded in half, fold back the top cover halfway on the second score line. Decorate as desired & wow your recipient!
