Heart Necklaces

LeNae Gerig

Get all the major supplies needed to make these projects with the Heart Pendants Bundle or you can order them separately.

LeNae's Tip: Don't cut the papers or overlays too much on the first try- you can always trim more off the edges.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Cut out the heart shapes just inside lines. To get a perfect fit, trim where necessary and test the fit before gluing in the pendant. There should be no bowing of paper or overlay. They should both lay flat inside of pendant.
  2. Use a small amount of glue to completely cover the front of the paper. Let dry. Repeat for the back. This step will seal the paper and prevent the paper from wrinkling or colors from bleeding.
  3. Glue the overlay to the paper and then glue the paper back into the jewelry piece. Use your fingertip around the inside edges of the pendant to remove any air bubbles before applying the glaze.
  4. Fill the jewelry piece with glaze not quite to the top. Let it dry according to the bottle directions.
