Designer Tip: When creating the twine flower the outside ring of twine is the first to glue glued to the cardstock. Make sure this ring is straight and well shaped and it will be a guide for the remaining rings of twine.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Twine Flower: Trace the flower pattern from the Design Tool Kit onto white cardstock. Apply Tacky glue over the surface of the flower and allow it to extend over the pattern edges. Cut a 2-yard length of yellow twine and outline the outside edge of the pattern with twine. Without cutting the twine begin the second row. Continue for 4 rows, leaving the center open. Let the glue dry and cut out the flower, very close to the twine edge.
  2. Place the card fold on the side. Cover the card with yellow patterned paper. Trace the Vintage Label shape onto gray dot paper and mat with dark pink cardstock, leaving a 1/32” border. Glue to the card front.
  3. Cut out a yellow 5”x1” strip of yellow patterned paper, ink the long edges black and mat with white cardstock, leaving a 1/8” border. Glue across the center of the card. Ink the card edges black.
  4. Print “Friend” onto the pink cardstock and trace the Fancy Label so the text is at the bottom of the label. Mat with white cardstock, leaving a 1/16” border. Glue the twine flower to the center of the label. Thread a 3/4” wide bright pink button with twine and tie a bow. Glue to the flower center. Thread 2 small bright pink buttons with twine and glue to each side of the yellow border.
  5. Inside: Glue a 5”x1” strip of gray dot to the inside back, 2” from the card top. Print a greeting to the dark pink cardstock and trace with the Fancy Label. Cut out and glue over the gray strip. Trace the flower onto the back of yellow patterned paper and glue the flower to the top left corner of the label. Thread a large dark pink button with yellow twine and tie a bow. Glue to the flower center.
