Designer Tip: Use 2 contrasting papers to make the hollow star with details. Matting and foam taping the finished star will give it added dimension.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Place the card fold on the left. Cover the card with pink swirl border paper, with the border at the bottom. Tear a 1 1/2" wide strip of swirl border from the orange paper and glue to the top of the card. Roll the torn edges and trim the paper even with the card edges. Glue a 2" length of orange rick rack at an angle at the card center.
  2. Trace the hollow star pattern onto dark pink/light pink dot paper and cut the details from yellow dot paper. Assemble the star and mat with white cardstock, leaving a 1/8" wide border. Foam tape to the end of the orange rick rack. Glue a crystal star to the center.
  3. Journal "Happy Birthday Princess" on white cardstock. Cut into a small tag shape and mat with yellow cardstock. Glue to the wand and top with a knotted length of sheer green dot ribbon. Glue 3 crystal stars to the swirl border at the bottom of the card.
