Designer Tips: The stitch piercer doesn't pierce through heavy cardstock. Regular or heavy paper is recommended; test a small piece first. I chalked the edges of the label with purple pearlescent chalk. Color Infusions Sparklers add a nice touch of sparkle to the label.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Using the Lovely Labels template, cut a Bracket Label from white cardstock. Print "happy birthday" in the center and chalk the edges with purple chalk.
  2. Use the Stitch Piercer and Piercing Mat to roll the piercer in a straight line across the top and bottom of the label, about ¼" from the top and bottom. Roll the Cross Stitch Piercer across the top and bottom, about ½" away from the top and bottom of the label.
  3. Thread a needle with about 36" of Fuchsia Blend Sparklers (I used 2 single strands). Stitch through the holes in the straight line and tape the ends to the back. Use Green Blend Sparklers to stitch the Cross Stitch holes and tape ends to the back.
  4. Glue the label onto 5 ¼"x3 ¾" of dark purple cardstock. Place flourishes from the silver Petite Dazzles around the label as shown.
