Technique: Stamping on Patterned Paper

Supplies

• Nature’s Watercolors Paper Pack
• Brown cardstock
• Corner Dazzles™ Copper
• Gold Jewel Dazzles™
• Masculine Collage stamp set
• Acrylic block
• StazOn® Timber Brown ink pad
• foam tape
• Glue stick
• 5"x6½" white card & matching envelope

Instructions:

1. For the card front: Turn the card with the fold at the top and cover with cardstock. Cut 6 1/4"x4 3/4" Nature's Watercolors ferns paper, ink the edges, and glue centered on the card. Cut 6 1/2"x1 7/8" Nature's Watercolors striped paper with a wide light stripe along the top and ink the edges. Stamp "Happy Birthday" on the upper left end, then glue across the front, 3/4" from the bottom. Place the Dazzles™ border on the strip as shown.
2. Cut 2 3/4"x3 3/4" Nature's Watercolors tan paper and ink the edges. Stamp the tree in the center, then mat on cardstock with 1/16" borders. Foam tape near the right edge. Trace the label pattern below and cut it from Nature's Watercolors striped paper. Ink the edges. Stamp "superstar" on it, then mat on cardstock with 1/32" borders. Foam tape as shown, placing two layers of foam tape under the left end. Place the Dazzles™ as shown.
3. For the inside: Cut 5"x4 1/4" Nature's Watercolors corner paper with the brown lacy edge along the bottom. Ink the edges then stamp the tree on the left end. Mat on cardstock with 1/16" borders and glue off-center as shown. Cut 3 1/2"x1" Nature's Watercolors tan paper and ink the edges. Stamp "Celebrate!" and the gear strip on it, then mat on cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue at the lower right and place Dazzles™ as shown.
