Designer Tip: I used the pointed tool in the tool set to outline the template shapes onto the back of the metal, against the thin foam pad. I also used the tool to emboss the shapes inside the petals. I refined the shapes with one of the flat-edged tools against the acrylic mat. After cutting out the shapes, I sanded the embossed areas to highlight them.

Instructions:

1. With the fold at the left, cover the card front with the red circles border paper, with the border at the left. Ink the edges. Attach a 1/8" strip of plum metal to the left edge of the card front.
2. Turn over the desired color of metal so the silver side is up, then place over the thin mat on your work surface. Place the template on top of the metal. Use the pointed end tool to outline the desired flower shape, plus the inner shape. Turn the metal piece over and trim loosely around the shape. Place on the acrylic mat and use the pointed tool, and a flat- ended tool to define the lines and shape. Cut out the shape, then sand the embossed areas. Repeat for more flower shapes, a green stem, and two leaves.
3. Layer the flowers together with foam tape. Attach stem and leaves in place with Zots. Foam tape the flowers over the top of the stem. Write "Happy Birthday" along bottom of the leaf as shown.
