Supplies:
Instructions:
- Use the green dots paper for a background. Cut a 2 1/4” x 12”
strip of green scroll paper and glue vertically, about 2 3/4” from
the left side. Cut a 7 3/4” x 9” piece of light green floral
and mat on ivory cardstock, leaving a 1/8” border on the top, bottom
and left sides. On the right, flush with the edge of the page. Cut a 4”
x 9” piece of ivory vellum and glue it to the light green floral
paper, about 1 3/8” from the right side of the page.
- Mat the photos on ivory cardstock leaving a 1/8” border. Arrange
on the light green floral paper, angled and overlapping as shown. Secure
an eyelet to each side of the photos and thread with fibers, tying
across the bottom of the photos.
- Cut out the tags. Cover the elongated tag with ivory vellum. Cut a
4” strip of light green floral paper and tear the ends. Glue across
the center of the tag. Tear the “family” definition into two
pieces and chalk the edges. Glue the word portion to ivory vellum and
tear the edges around the words. Glue the remaining portion to the center
of the elongated tag. Attach the tag to the page with 1/4” brads
and glue the word portion to the left of the tag.
- Journal and write names on ivory vellum with the black pen. Tear around
the journaling and attach with 1/8” brads to the left side of the
page. Add fiber to the upper left corner of the journaling. Tear around
the name and date and glue to the remaining tags. Punch a hole in the
end of each and tie to the fibers beneath the photo. Cut out charms and
add to the elongated tag with copper thread.
- Add chalk to the edges of the vellum pieces and cream paper.

A Tip From Susan:
I wanted to add color to this page to complement the sepia tones of
the heritage photos, so I matted them on ivory cardstock and used chalk
to age the color a bit. The copper charms match perfectly with the aged
ivory tones.
