Designer’s Tip: Create a layered border by tearing multiple strips of patterned paper. Experiment with creating a white edge by tearing towards you or away from you for a patterned paper edge.
- Background: Tear one long edge of black dot paper to 12”x2 1/4” and glue to the bottom of the ivory paper. Tear the edge of 12”x 1 1/2” and blue below the first strip.
- Photos: Mat a 5”x7” photo with red cardstock, leaving a 1/8” wide border and mat again with black dot paper, leaving a 1/8” border. Glue 1 1/4” from the top of the page and 1” from the left. Mat a 4” x 2 3/4” photo with red leaving 1/8” border. Wrap the right side of the photo with 1/8” wide white grosgrain ribbon and tie a small bow. Mat a second time using black cardstock and leave a 1/8” wide border. Glue to the top right edge of the large photo.
- Journaling: Use the first layer of the label Papier Tole to write or print over printed text and hand feed through printer. Foam tape layers and glue to the bottom of the large photo.
- Foam tape “Extra Art” red flower circles to each end of the border. Foam tape layers of the Eiffel Tower and star shape and glue to the page as shown.
