UPDATE 9-12-14: The bundle is finally here!

Sorry for the delay! This week’s project is a pretty, simple, and elegant card. It features several items from the lovely Unforgettable collection, including papers, die-cuts, and stamps. I also jazzed it up just a bit with Pink Flower Jewel Dazzles–they go a long way!

P.S. I’m busy working on another Week of Webisodes! I’ll keep you updated on that. (That’s my excuse for posting late) :)

Christmas Cheer Papers & Naughty & Nice Stamps

Christmas Cheer Naughty & Nice 4

Today’s card is a Christmas card! I know Christmas isn’t for another 3 months, but I just couldn’t wait. In this episode I showcase some of the hottest new holiday items from Hot Off The Press: Christmas Cheer Paper Pack (awesome chalkboard designs), Naughty & Nice Stamp Set (for all those “naughty” ones on your list!), and Joyous Greetings Papier Tole (also in the elegant chalkboard realm). I also use some little essentials to add a little “pop”–Zing Red Glitter embossing powder, Silver Holographic Ripple Paper, and the sheer ribbon is from the Lace Ribbon Set (although you could use practically any red ribbon). It’s getting just a touch cooler here in Oregon; I feel fall coming on…and making Christmas cards is a great way to celebrate! Oh, and a large mug of hot spiced apple cider, of course!

This week I have a fun and fanciful birthday card. I love the Honeysuckle Artful Card Kit, especially the contrast of the bright pink and green with red, black, and gray. The patterned papers are gorgeous. I also am using some very versatile Tiny Words & Phrases Dazzles, Honeysuckle ribbons, and the blank shutter card. That’s right, you don’t have to meticulously cut and score your own cardstock to get this great look! Hot Off The Press offers them in a pack of five, with five matching envelopes. They are really great to create a unique look for your cards. Enjoy this week’s project!

Cake, Candle & Flower Cutting Die

Cake, Candle & Flower Cutting Dies 4

Today’s post is a very detailed wedding card! The cake is fanciful, but the background shines with sparkly Tiny Flower Dazzles! Even though this card is a bit tedious to make, you are sure to wow anyone who receives it! Also, you can make a modified version by just placing rows of flower Dazzles at the top and bottom instead of covering the whole background. One tip for get out those stubborn innies of your die cut shapes: Run the die through with wax paper as the layer closest to the die, then whatever paper/cardstock you want to cut. This “waxes up” the die and die blades so that the paper or cardstock falls out really easily. It lasts for several uses after using the wax paper. Also, I use a craft pick (basically a retractable needle tool) to poke out the small innies from the die. When lifting and placing all the Dazzles, I always use my X-acto knife to place them exactly where I want them. I had fun creating this card, and I hope you do too! Cheers!

Kindred Spirits Stamps & Heat Resistant Acetate 3

Hi everyone! So I am now back in Oregon! Thank you so much for your loyalty and patience. And now (finally) a new video! This week I show you a great new product: Heat Resistant Acetate, offered exclusively by Hot Off The Press! (Don’t forget the great deal on the bundle this week!) I also bring in one of my favorite Color Me papers, from the “Double Dipped” set (they are called Double Dipped because they have both black and white designs on them, with the white being raised and embossed). This card also uses some very pretty, sparkly WOW Embossing Powders: Pink Fizz & Totally Teal. These are super pretty on the background of deep pink & teal (Dark Peony and Arctic Deep Chalk ink pads). Let me know what you think!

Moving

Hi all,
Sorry no video this week but I have a really great excuse…I’m moving back to Oregon! Yes, it is a bit sudden, but my husband got a job and we’ve been thinking about since we moved to FL. I’m excited to be back, but the packing, shipping, moving, etc. will put a hold on the blog until I can get organized over here! I’m thinking next week hopefully I’ll have something up, but if not I will keep you posted! Thank you all for being such positive, great blog followers!

:)
Ann

Lacy Borders Cutting Dies

Lacy Borders Dies 1

Lacy Borders Dies 2

This week I have a pretty lacy card to show you! I also use some fabulous Dazzles, a Butterflies 3-Pack. They come with 3 sheets of Dazzles: 2 sheets of butterflies and 1 sheet of Jewels to mix and match with the butterflies. They are 3 different colors too–all shiny and sparkly, of course. You’ll see the fun acetate technique I use with the Dazzles in the video. I also love using the specialty White Peacock paper with the Lacy Borders Cutting Dies–it makes a great texture! The greeting is from the Smart and Sassy Sayings Stamps–very fun. I hope you all enjoy, and don’t forget to check out this week’s bundle!

Bicycle Cutting Die

Bicycle Cutting Die 1

Bicycle Cutting Die 2

Today’s card has a “bears and bicycles” theme–very cute! I think the Teddy Bear Dazzles are adorable, and the Bicycle Cutting Die has all sorts of uses. I love it with the Metallic Gold specialty paper. The bears are also backed with this neat leather-texture paper. This card also uses the Home Grown Paper Pack, which has a rustic classic America look to it. I hope you all enjoy! Oh, and this card has no specific greeting, so you could pretty much use it for anything!
