Hi, all! Today I’m showing you another triple-easel card, this one is a Heart Triple Easel Card with a pastel Mother’s Day theme. I use the intricate Roses Cutting Die in a unique way with a masking technique, but the great part is I can use the mask as part of my card when I’m done (I show you how in the video)! The other nice thing about this project is that you don’t need a particular paper pack to make it. I used 3 colors of ink for my hearts and easel bases, and the rest is just the (very pretty) Mother’s Day Floral Dazzles and a bit of ribbon. It was easy using the art daubers (and they gave sort of a circular fingerprint effect), but I’m sure you could recreate the look using a cosmetic sponge or whatever you have (maybe even your fingers?). I hope you have fun with this one! Oh, and don’t forget your mother on Mother’s Day this year, which is Sunday, May 10th! (That reminds me–I can’t believe my son’s 2nd birthday is already on May 15th!!)

Hey all, I hope you had a fabulous Easter! Today I have a bright and shiny Star Triple Easel Card. At first glance, this card might not look too fancy, but when you open up all the easels, it really has that WOW factor! I used the Star Triple Easel Die Cut Card set (which includes envelopes and pieces to make 3 cards), along with the ever-so-versatile Gypsy Jewels Scrapbooking Papers and the fun Wind & Waves Embossing Folder! Check out my easy inking technique which can be used 2 ways to create different looks! Oh, and I of course can’t forget the Everyday Greetings 3-pack of Dazzles, which are also SO versatile (pluse they come with 51 Dazzles!) Best wishes to all this week, and happy crafting!

Items I use that are not in the bundle:
Sea Crystal Fluid Chalk ink pad
Silver (holographic) Jewel Dazzles
Teresa Collins Cut ‘N Boss electronic die-cutting machine (or the Big Shot or Evolution)

Hello everyone! Spring is here, and I thought I’d do a cheer-up card. This one says “Keep Calm and Smile On” and is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face. This week I’m showcasing the Wreath Cutting Die set, which includes not only the fabulous wreath but an intricate rose, rose silhouette (for backing the rose), and a sprig of leaves. I only use the wreath on this card, but you could definitely do a lot more with this set. I also LOVE the Chalkboard Scrapbooking Papers, which are so chic and trendy. I hope you enjoy this tutorial, and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Hey there! Today’s card showcases a very fun template for a Double Pocket Treat Holder! This cute card (or treat holder) has a pocket both on the front and on the back to hold a multitude of goodies! I use a very cute paper pack called Pretty Little Posies, as well as the Pretty Posies Die-Cuts. What a perfect project to welcome in spring! In this video I show you how to use a scoring board to score your fold lines, but you can always use the tried and true method of the back of your craft knife and a ruler to score your lines. We’re all about options here! I need to make one note on my video: I didn’t have the actual Amber Rose Embossing Powder with me, so I had to use a similar-colored substitute–however, the Amber Rose embossing powder on Paper Wishes is a GLITTER embossing powder (on the jar it actually says “embossing glitter“), which will be way pretty on your card!

Also featured today are the ever-so-versatile White Lacy Borders Dazzles. These are intricate 8-inch long stickers, and some of them are duplicated on the sheet so you can extend your border! I do love these Dazzles, they are an oldie but a goodie! Speaking of goodies…what to put inside your pockets? Well, here I’ve simply used a couple of die-cuts for tags, but for a nice little treat you could tuck in a fun-size pack of Skittles, M&M’s, Ghiradelli chocolate square, your favorite packet of tea, gift card, love note, letter to a friend, or cash! Or what about some earrings or necklace attached to a tag? I sure wouldn’t mind a gift like that! Well, happy crafting, and thanks for joining me this week!

P.S. I loved reading all of the comments on last week’s Week of Webisodes. If you are one of our fans, thank you so much! I worked hard on those projects, and guess what…I’m working on another WOW as we speak! This one is slated to air at the end of April, so be on the lookout! :) In the meantime, if you missed the past week, just go to the Webisodes page and click on Archives, where you’ll find them all!

Hi, peeps! Easter is quickly approaching on April 5th, so I thought I do an Easter card today. It is made using the Label Swing Die-Cut Cards and the (oval) Label Small Stamp. Although, you might not recognize the label stamp on my card, since I transformed them into ornate Easter eggs! The other thing that is unique about this card is that you do not see a greeting on the front. Is that a cardmaking no-no? Well, I’m here to tell you that with crafting, anything goes! On this card I also use White Jewel Border Dazzles and Flamingo Liquid Pearls to decorate my Easter eggs. I also show you how to transform dark colored Dazzles into white Dazzles! It’s really quite simple. That’s me, Simply Ann! Enjoy!

P.S. Don’t forget to hop on over to the Paper Wishes Webisodes page each day of this week (March 16-20) for WEEK OF WEBISODES: ANN’S SPRING LOOK! Fill up your shopping cart all week and put in your order at the end (and get free shipping over $79!)

Here is what Stickles looks like when dry. Test it by lightly touching it before handling your card.

Hello, people! Welcome and thanks for joining me this week! This week I’m showing off Hot Off The Press’s new Daydream Artful Card Kit. In terms of cardmaking, they could not make it any easier to make a beautiful card. With patterned papers, a sheet of cut-out greetings and labels, and 3 sheets of beautiful, intricate die-cuts, everything is at your fingertips to make a beautiful card. (By the way, I don’t show the packaging in the video, but there are several card ideas on the package (seen here). Add to this the very easy-to-make Pull-Up Card Template, designed by Teresa Welch. If you’re short on time you can also buy ready-made die-cut Pull Up Cards in a pack, but the template is much more versatile since you can use it with any cardstock or specialty cardstock you have in your stash. Even mix and match cardstock colors for the outer and inner pieces. The possibilities are endless, but I’m here to show you one specific possibility–using the Pull-Up Card Template with the Daydream Artful Card Kit! These combine for a very pretty and unique card. On top of that, the Daydream Ribbons match perfectly the Artful Card Kit, and Thistle Stickles add the perfect touch of special sparkle! I have to say, I love how this one turned out. Make someone’s day better today! Make and send this special card! Happy crafting!

Supplies I mention in the video that are not in bundle:

Retractable craft knife
Scor-Pal
Trim & Score Board by We R Memory Keepers
Bone folder tool
Glue Glider Pro
Photo glue stick
Imagicut Ribbon Cutter

This collection is definitely one of my faves, and named after a longtime project designer at Hot Off The Press, Susan. I hope you enjoy this unique, classy, shaped card!

Flower Frenzy Stamps & Dies 2

Flower Frenzy Stamps & Dies 3

Flower Frenzy Stamps & Dies 4

Hi, everyone! Today’s card features 2 very special products: the 12 Flower Frenzy Cutting Dies, and the Flower Frenzy Stamp Set (33 stamps!). I had the pleasure of working with the cutting dies when I did “Ann’s Fall Look” Week of Webisodes (see October 6, 2014 Webisode), but this is the first time I’ve used the matching stamps. I have to say, the stamps are gorgeous on their own (and same with the dies!), but they are even better when combined with the matching die-cut shapes. I love that there are several greetings included–I use greetings stamps ALL the time, so I can’t get enough of them! I can’t wait to show you what I’ve made, so enjoy!

Oh, and here are links to some of the items I used that I may have mentioned in the video but are not in the bundle:
Gypsy Jewels Paper Pack
Violet Suede Paper
White Super Fine Embossing Powder
retractable pick
retractable craft knife
6.5″ x 5″ blank white card
foam tape
glue stick

Check these out if you’re looking for an embossing/die-cutting machine.

I’ll try to include a linked supplies list more often so you can see exactly what’s been used on the project if it’s not in that week’s bundle. (Let me know if this is either helpful or not necessary in your comments!)

Also, I know some of you prefer written instructions for my cards. I’m unfortunately unable to provide this service due to time constraints (it’s not cost effective for me). Sorry about that, but if you’re looking for written instructions, PaperWishes.com has literally thousands of ideas–see the blue bar along the bottom of the page that says “FIND YOUR INSPIRATION.” That bar has a bunch of links that will take you where you want to go. (Also, don’t forget that all Weekly Webisode projects are available in written form too)!

Oh, and did you know Paper Wishes/Hot Off The Press also has a Customer Gallery where you all can upload your own projects made with HOTP and other Paper Wishes products?? I sure didn’t until now! Check it out! Post your awesome projects! Post comments on projects you like!

NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS SECTION: I apologize for those of you who have tried to comment since Jan. 14. For some reason many comments started landing in the spam folder, but we’re trying to fix that! There might be a bit of a delay on your comments, but we’ll make sure to find them! I love reading your comments, questions, and ideas, thank you all for participating, and thanks for your patience when the blog post has a glitch or comes up later than usual. (And thanks for notifying me of those glitches). We are all human (well, except for computers, so you can blame them)! 😉

WANT TO CONTACT ME? I’m not sure if many of you know this, but if you’d like to reach me via email, you can click on the “About Me” link on the top right side of this blog, and my email and snail mail (Hey, you could even send me a card! I might even send one back! 😉 ) info is at the bottom of the page. [I’ll make it easy for you–it’s simplyannbarba (at) gmail . com]

And now for that video…
