Love Card 4

This week I’m doing a Valentine’s themed card! Although, you don’t really need Valentine’s Day to send a “Love” card–any day will do! I enjoyed playing around with the “Love & 5 Hearts” Cutting Dies–there’s really a lot you can do with these. Hopefully my project will be the beginning of lots more fun for you! This card is simple and sweet, using Penelope Papers, glitzy Holographic Hearts paper, and white Dazzles. Thanks so much for watching, and don’t forget to check out this week’s bundle deal!

NOTE: The bundle has been changed: the Chalkboard Embellies pack has been removed because it is currently out of stock. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This week’s project is another scrapbook page, this time using the fabulous new double-sided Chalkboard Paper Pack! I absolutely love the contrast of the dark textured chalkboard with the pretty pastel accent colors. I’m also excited to share with you the new Embellies line from Hot Off The Press. These mini embellishment sets are designed to match certain collections of products–Chalkboard, for example. I love the pretty brads and die-cuts in this pack.

In this video I also mention the Dazzles Transfer Sheet. Even though I don’t use it here, it is helpful for placing all those Dazzles that have multiple words or pieces to them. Also, here is a link to the 3-D Zots, which I use for the roses. Enjoy!

Butterfly Dazzles Card

Butterfly Dazzles Card 1

Butterfly Dazzles Card Inside

Hello, all! Today’s card is an all-purpose, all-occasion card, perfect for Birthday, Congrats, Get Well, Best Wishes, you name it! The special thing about this card in my opinion is the unique background and the holographic backed butterfly. These Butterfly Dazzles are so easy to back with paper (much easier than my North Pole Village card) since the shapes are simpler and I’m only using mainly one type of paper. It’s a specialty paper called Holographic Purple Circles. When you look at it on its own, it’s a little overwhelming, but when you use the paper in smaller pieces (like backing a Dazzle), it can give a very elegant effect!

One note on the Black PavĂ© Crystals: I didn’t get them in time for the video, but you will have the real ones and not the faux ones I used on this card! They are beautiful, by the way. Love the super pretty bling! You can also take a closer look at them and check out a product demo at this link.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone–I hope you ring in 2014 with family, friends, fun, and fabulous crafty projects! ;)

Flying Reindeer Scrapbook Page

Flying Reindeer Scrapbook Page 4

First of all, MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all my viewers! Thanks so much for following my blog and being the reason I do what I do! This week is a special treat for all you scrapbookers out there…a scrapbook page! This is a first on my blog, but definitely not the last! I enjoyed making this page with photos of my little Gabriel. He’s already 7 months old!

Okay, back to business… The star of the page (besides the cute baby) is the reindeer die-cuts. The Flying Reindeer Cutting Dies are great for using again and again, and work especially well with this Red Jupiter Glimmer Paper. The swirls and snowflakes give the page an extra special touch. You might notice something different with how I colored the background Silver Color Me Swirls Paper…silhouetted reindeer! Watch the video to learn how I did this technique. Check out the bundle at the end for great savings, and as always, have fun and keep crafting!

North Pole Village Dazzles

North Pole Village Dazzles card

The technique I’m showing today is a form of paper piecing, wherein I back a Dazzle with various bits of patterned paper. I’m not going to lie…it’s tedious work. BUT, the result is something you can’t get any other way. AND, if you prefer, you don’t have to do paper piecing–you could just slap the sticker on solid white and color it in–it’s all up to you! Regardless of the technique you use, I hope you’ll agree that the North Pole Village Dazzles are super cute and the Holly Mix Em Dazzles are sooo great and versatile–very fun to work with!

NOTE: Sorry for the bundle delay! At the time of posting, the Mix ‘Em Holly Dazzles were backordered so we had to remove it from the bundle. However, you CAN order it separately! Here is the link to the product page. Sorry for the confusion and thank you for your patience!

In the bundle:
Rosemary & Thyme 6×6 Paper Pack
North Pole Village Dazzles
Simply Susan Ribbon Set
Green Stickles

Easy Lacy Snowflakes Template

Easy Snowflakes Gift Tag 2

Easy Snowflakes Gift Tag 1

This week I’m doing something different and fun: gift tags! I’ve decorated two completely different tags with the Easy Lacy Snowflakes Template. The template makes really intricate looking stacked snowflakes, but like the name suggests, it really is easy! I love the look of the vellum on the first tag, but I also love using the Liquid Pearls on the second one, plus the Christmas Lace Double-sided Papers work awesome with the template. Pick your favorite and make some fabulous gift tags! These are pretty enough to be recycled as Christmas ornaments. :)

Merry Christmas Cutting Die

Merry Christmas Cutting Die card

Today’s Christmas card is a little different. I’m trying out a monochromatic (variations of one color) look with the pretty Gypsy Jewel Paper Pack. I’ve also added some holographic paper and glittery green Swirl Christmas Tree Dazzles to make this card really shine. You may want to save the scraps for a St. Patrick’s Day card! I do like how this card turned out, though. I think it has lots of sparkle without being over the top. The Merry Christmas Cutting Die is the star of the show, and the cutting dies are great since you can use them with practically any paper and any die cut machine! They are worth their value. I hope you guys enjoy watching! Oh, and happy Thanksgiving week to all!

Christmas Greetings Stamps

This week’s card is simple and sweet–I love the Christmas Greetings Stamps because they act as the focal point and the greeting at the same time. This card is easy to make, and I love the look of the white embossing on the shimmery blue glimmer paper! I hope you all enjoy! (Sorry no photo right now, but do see the card in the video!

Color Me Ebony Christmas Card Toppers

Color Me Ebony Christmas Greetings Card Toppers

This week I have another delightful Christmas card. I love the Color Me Card Toppers because they are perfectly sized for the Hot Off The Press blank white cards, and they are so easy to use. Simply color how you wish (with inks, watercolors, sprays, markers, chalks, etc.), glue to your card, add a greeting and you’re done! This card shines with the addition of the 5mm self-adhesive white pearls and the Gold Liquid Pearls. I just love decorating with the Liquid Pearls because you can put them anywhere, and the design of the Color Me practically tells you where to add it! I hope you enjoy watching this tutorial as much as I enjoyed making it! Make sure to check out the fabulous savings bundle as always!

Items I used that are NOT in the bundle: ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink Pads in Red Barn, Candied Yam, Yellow Ochre (or substitute Yellow Cadmium), and Olive Pastel. Also: blank white card, glue stick, foam tape, small paintbrushes, and acrylic block.
