Designer Tips: One color shading: Color a portion of the cake with rose pink and let dry completely. Go over the bottom edge of the cake a second and third time to darken that portion. Alter stamp by masking off the cake stand to shorten the height of the cake.
Instructions:
- Fold the lightweight brown cardstock in half. Punch with a scalloped circle, leaving a small portion of the fold in tack to create a card. Punch the center portion of a 4” x 1¼” pink dot paper and glue to the center of the brown scalloped card, lining up the scallop edges.
- Stamp the cake in black ink onto the center of a 3” white cardstock circle. Stamp “make a wish” below. Color the candles and borders with 15 Geranium and the rest of the cake with 8 Rose Pink pen. Let the ink dry completely and color the bottom edge of the cake again to darken the area.
- Add gold stickles glitter glue to the flames on the candles and yellow marker and Rose pink pen to make dots among the stars and streamers confetti on the sides on the cake. Make a pink dot bow and glue to the card top, covering the fold.
- Inside: Glue ½ of a punched 3” pink dot circle to the bottom of a 3” white cardstock circle. Glue pink rick rack over the top edge. Stamp “Happy Birthday” in brown in the white area at the top.
