- Cover your flat work surface with newspaper or paper towel to protect it from the ink. Open the portfolio and place it with the slick surface facing up. Put on your gloves, then moisten the applicator felt with alcohol. Add 2 or 3 drops of ink to the moistened applicator, then dab the applicator over the entire slick surface of the portfolio. Allow to dry. The results can be adjusted as desired, simply add more alcohol or ink, or simply go over it again with your already-inked applicator.
- Place the top flap of the portfolio on a flat surface; making sure it is laying completely flat before stamping. Ink the heart stamp and stamp it on the center of the flap, 1/4" from the bottom. Dust with embossing powder and emboss with the heat embossing tool. Stamp the border along the bottom of the folds on the flap, then emboss.
- Stamp and emboss a border along the top of the folds on the bottom flap of the portfolio. Stamp and emboss a rose with leaves above the border 1 1/4" from the right side.
- Color a 3" x 2" glossy white cardstock rectangle with alcohol ink, this time using only 1 drop of ink on the moistened applicator for a lighter green color. Let it dry. Computer print names or write by hand. Trim to a 2 1/4" x 1 1/8" rectangle. Trim corners of the left end to create a tag shape. Ink edges of the tag, dust with embossing powder, then emboss. Glue tag angled to the front of the portfolio. Zot a ribbon as shown.
