I was very intrigued by your idea of using 8x8 papers for cards but I never really understood why you call them your secret weapon! What did I miss? :o) Do you used them to cover a premade card or do you use them to make a card. What size card do you like best?

We call 8x8 scrapbooking papers our secret weapon because we don't believe many cardmakers would necessarily think of using them for cards. Plus those by Hot Off The Press which we had on the show have all kinds of tags, art and alphabet tiles that coordinate. We do cover a blank white pre-made card. Our favorite size is 5"x6.5" because it offers more space to design. That's why it is the size we sell. Thanks for watching.

I couldn't find the vintage 8x8 paper collection shown in this episode. Where can I get it?

I'm sorry to say the 8x8 Vintage pack has sold out! However, the Friendship pack is still available, as are several others like Heritage, 4 Seasons and more.

If you like the Vintage look, though, you might check out our Vintage sarapapers (http://www.paperwishes.com/products/7241210000) or Busy Scrapper Vintage (http://www.paperwishes.com/products/7541240000). This one has many of the same patterns as the 8x8 collection. Both are 12"x12" but that just means you've got more paper to play with!

FYI, for those looking for a free version of a font that is nearly identical to "Got that Bling", try the "Wendy Medium" font available at fonts101.com

I enjoyed watching the this weeks webisode, I only wish that those 8x8 paper packs were also available as 12x12 paper packs. The 12x12 books don't have nearly as much fun stuff in them.

Hi Rebecca, although we don’t have those exact packs in a larger size, you might take a look at the new Tapestry Paper Pack and the Floral Collection. Each one has 12”x12” papers plus cardstock, diecuts (which are reversible) and stickers. These are great when you want everything coordinated and ready to go, and they work for scrapbooking and cardmaking.

Hi Barb! The font Susan used is called "got that bling" and one of our computer guys got it off the web. Not sure if it's a free font but if you Google it you'll certainly find it available from one of the font houses. Hope this helps!

With the card making papers, can you make your own envelopes? If not which envelopes fit those cards?

Hi Sue,

Thanks for your comment! We use our basic White Cards & Envelopes--each pack has 10 white cards plus 10 matching white envelopes so you've got a base to build your card, plus an envie to mail it in!

Sometimes (as in this Webisode) we cut the card down to 5” square. In that case, it would still fit in the envelope but if you don’t like the envelope being bigger than the card, you could plan those designs to be a “hand it over” instead of “mail it over” kind of thing.

Just tuned in for the first time and loved both the ideas and the presentation. I've ignored 8x8 until now but will definitely consider using to reduce the waste.
