In reference to Janet Trapp's comment about the glitter coming off the adhesive, after I sprinkle the glitter on, I shake off the excess & then roll a rubber brayer over it to "set" the glitter into the adhesive. It works great!

So many things you can create with metal stencils. I've used them more on vellum and a small hint I colored the back of the vellum with color pencil and it gives such a lovely soft color or the right side. Than you Paulette and Ann you are a great team. Can't wait for the next webisode.

monthly or bimonthly kit.
I didn't realize you could
do so many different techniques with stencils

The embossing is easier and much smoother if you crumple a piece of wax paper and rub it over the surface of the card stock. Linen weave card stock is beautiful when embossed.

I have used the same adhesive (bought it through you) and yet I still find my glitter coming off. Is there something that can be sprayed or put on top to keep it from coming off? Thanks so much! God bless your efforts!

Inevitably, there will be some glitter that comes off your card. I try to rub the glitter into the adhesive with my finger to get it really adhered, but some shedding is normal, as long as there are no sticky portions of the adhesive showing. I haven't tried any sprays, but I would think it might buckle the paper.

From Paulette:
Do be sure you're using the stencil adhesive because it really makes a difference which double-sided adhesive you use. It is #4003714.

Love these techniques. What adhesive to do you to keep the pergamano paper attached without showing through? I've been using tape for vellum, but the piece doesn't stay attached.

Fom Ann:
The trick to adhering the parchment to the card without the glue showing is to apply the glue (Tacky Glue or Zots) to areas that are white and embossed. I prefer the ease of Zots and find that they are pretty sturdy.

I look forward to your webisodes every week! You and Ann always look like you are having so much fun crafting together. Thanks for allowing us into your craft world. My question is; Can you use a heavy weight card stock with the Cool Tool or does it only work with the pergamano paper?

from the manufacturer of the Cool Tool:
No - it is not recommended using the Cool Tool with card stock.
If you use the Cool Tool it will only burn card stock , not cut out like Paper Tex. When using the wood burning pen with
cardstock, the paper may catch fire or give you a "pirate map" look (not normally the desired effect!).
