- Ink the edges of two 1 1/4"-wide strips of striped paper, then glue them against the bottom of the portfolio's bottom flap, overlapping. Ink the edges of two 1 1/4"-wide strips of blue paper and glue overlapping, 1/8" above the striped paper. Ink the edges of two 2 1/2"-wide strips of orange paper and glue overlapping, 1/8" above the blue paper. Starting 1/8" above the orange paper, cover the top of the flap with two pieces of striped paper, overlapping. Stamp the barcode pattern over the overlapping edges of each of the paper pieces.
- Cover the top flap with two pieces of blue paper, overlapping, then ink the edges. Stamp the barcode pattern over the overlapping seam.
- Ink the edges of a 2" square of green paper and of striped paper. Mat the green paper on orange and the striped paper on green, inking the edges of the mats. Add an outline flower brad to striped paper and trim around the edges of the brad. Attach the brad to the green square, then foam tape the square extending off the bottom of the top flap. Attach a solid flower brad to the stripe square and foam tape it 4" from the top of the bottom flap. Punch two 1/4" circles and ink the edges, then glue them to the flower centers.
- Glue tag cut-outs across the bottom of the bottom flap. Ink the edges of alphabet tiles to spell “cards” and foam tape them across the tags. Add the remaining outline flower brad to green paper, cut around the edges and foam tape it in the bottom right corner of the bottom flap.
- Ink the edges of word fragment cut-outs and foam tape them throughout the front of the portfolio.
- Wrap embroidery floss between the two matted flower brads to close the portfolio.
