“It’s your day” Card

Designer Tip: When dealing with multiple layers of paper and cardstock, emboss with Versamark™ and Embossing Enamel and heat with gun. When melted and still a liquid, quickly sprinkle in Mica Fragments. If you are only using 1 layer of paper or cardstock, heat the Embossing Enamel along with the Mica Fragments from the bottom of the cardstock. This prevents the Mica from blowing away.
Instructions
- Place the card fold on the side. Cover with burgundy swirl paper. Tear 3 sides of the 4 1/4” x6” pink lace border/text paper. Ink the torn edges brown and glue flush with the card top.
- Use the corner of the Versamark™ stamp pad to moisten the top right and lower left edges of the card. Sprinkle with Gold Embossing Enamel and heat from the top (link) and sprinkle Mica into liquefied enamel. Let dry.
- Tear a 4” x 5 1/2” corner from the rose paper. Emboss the edges gold and the bottom with heavy gold and Mica, hearting from the bottom of this 1 layer of paper. Place a tiny amount of gold embossing enamel at the center of each rose.
- Use the knife to cut around the top edges of the pink roses. Stamp the birdcage with brown ink on the craft paper cardstock and cut out. Glue the birdcage from behind the roses. Glue the rose paper to the card front, at an angle.
- Place corner Dazzles at the top left and bottom right of the card. Place bird Dazzles among the roses, with larger birds at the front and smaller at the back. Glue a mauve bow to the lower left side of the card. Using gold ink, stamp a greeting at the bottom right corner.
- Inside: Gold emboss the bottom torn edge of a 5”x2” piece of burgundy swirl paper with lace border. Glue to the top edge of the card inside back. In gold ink, stamp a greeting and place a small Dazzles bird above.
