Tips: To glue on small or intricate words or shapes, I used a glue pen. You can also use a toothpick and Tacky Glue.
Tweezers are helpful for placing and gluing detailed shapes. The specific shape names/numbers from the Silhouette Library that are used in this project are listed below.
Instructions:
- Use white metallic cardstock to create a scalloped card (Card 1013 in your Library). Size the card to 6 ½” wide.
- Cut 6 ½”x3 ¼” of blue/teal stripe from Little Prints & Patterns with the stripes going vertical. Glue centered to the front of the card. Cut two 6 ½”x2 ¼” pieces of vellum. Use Vellum Glue Dots to glue the first piece of vellum 1” from the top. Glue the second piece overlapping the first , 1 ¼” from the top.
- Use the Silhouette to cut “Happy Birthday” from blue iridescent paper and glue centered to card. Cut two small branches (Branch 1009) out of the same paper and glue to either side of the greeting. Place 5mm and 3mm clear crystals on the ends of the branches.
- Inside the card: Glue a ½” wide strip of striped paper across the top and a 1 ½” strip across the bottom. Glue a 3/8” wide strip of blue iridescent paper across the bottom. Cut a flourish (Flourish 1018) from blue iridescent paper and glue to the left side as shown.
