- Mat the 8 1/2”x11” Woody paper with golden yellow cardstock and glue to the left side of the dark brown cardstock. Mat the 5”x7” photo with both the black and red cardstocks, leaving 1/8” wide borders. Glue to the top of the paper. Secure the “sheriff” badge and the cowboy hat Brad Buddies™ to the right side of the dark brown cardstock.
- Paper piecing boot: First trace the pattern from the book using tracing paper or make a photocopy. Use Transfer paper (white works best on dark colors) and cut the pieces out. Use the white gel pen to outline the brown boot and add details. Glue to the black boot mat and outline the boot sole with white.
- Glue the red boot detail to the top and the yellow and gray spurs as shown. Use the black pen to draw details on the spurs and to journal on the boot. Draw small circles close together to make your journaling look like rope. Glue the boot to the lower right of the page.
- Computer journal and print onto white cardstock. Use “uncle stinky” for a font because it has lots of character. Cut the paper into strips and ink the edges. Secure to the page and add red star brads.
