- Cover front of card with the striped border paper, keeping the border on the right side of the card and trim the edges. Cut a 1/2" strip of brown paper and glue it over the edge of the striped border. Add the balloon border sticker to the strip of brown paper. Cut out the "wishes" tab and ink the edges, glue it to the edge of the brown strip.
- Attach purple paper behind the larger stickers, and trim around the edges of the stickers. Cut four 1 1/4"x2" rectangles of blue paper, and mat all four blocks onto dark brown paper. Glue the mat to the light brown section of the paper, as shown.
- Using the stitching template, add pen stitching around the blue blocks, the frame of the dark brown mat and along the border of the card. Ink the edges of the card.
- For the inside: Cut a 2" strip of border paper and ink the edges. Add 1/2" strip of brown paper and a piece of the balloon border sticker, as on the card front. Cut out a birthday greeting and mat with blue paper. Attach a "special" tab and pen stitching around the greeting and along the border. Glue inside the card.
