Instructions:
- Place the card with the fold on the top. Cover card front with red glimmer paper. Cut a 6 ½”x1 ½” strip of white cardstock. Stamp the lanterns border across the whole strip. Color in the lanterns and flowers, alternating between red and yellow. Mat the strip onto black cardstock, leaving a 1/16” border. Glue the strip to the card 5/8” from the top.
- Stamp the floral branch stamp along the top, sides, and bottom of the card as shown. Make sure you have a craft sheet or scrap paper underneath your card so you don’t stamp onto your work surface.
- Stamp the words “love” and “beauty” and the Chinese symbols for love and beauty onto white cardstock and cut out each image. Mat each onto black, leaving a 1/16” border. Glue the pieces to the card staggered below the lantern border as shown. Ink the edges of the card black.
4. Inside the card: Create the same border matted onto black cardstock as you did for the front. Glue to card ¾” from the bottom. Stamp a floral branch at the top right and color in with the red and yellow brush markers. Cut out a 3 ¼”x1 ½” piece of red glimmer paper and stamp a fan on the left side. Ink the edges of the piece black. Print “Best wishes on your birthday!” on the red and glue to card ½” from the top and 3/8” from the left.
