'Tis Yer Birrrrthday!
Project: Decorated Mini Folder
Supplies:
- Sara's Surfaces(tm) Mini Folders
- Magic Kingdom Finished in a Flash!(tm)
- Pirate Brad Buddies(tm)
- white cardstock
- black pen
- black ink pad
- fine-grade sandpaper or emery board
- small Zots(tm)
- glue stick
Instructions:
1) With the Mini Folder unfolded, cover the front cover and the inside pocket flaps with red/blue striped paper. Sand the edges of each of the covered areas, then fold and glue the folder into shape. 
2) Computer journal "'Tis yer Birrrrthday!" on white cardstock and ink the edges. Mat on red texture paper, trim to 1/16" and sand the edges. Add a black mini brad to each end, then glue the phrase across the top of the Folder's front cover.
3) Tear a piece of gold texture paper to about 3 1/2"x4 1/4". Slightly crumple and uncrumple, then lightly sand the surface. Computer journal "start here" and "treasure" on white cardstock and ink the edges. Glue "start here" in the top left corner of the paper and add a sanded red brad to the left. Glue "treasure" in the bottom right corner of the paper and add a sanded "X" brad below. Draw a random path of dash marks between "start here" and "treasure". Attach a skull Brad Buddy(tm) in the top right corner and a sanded black mini brad in the bottom left. Glue the "laugh zone" punch-out to the left side of the paper and top with a sanded black mini brad. Glue the paper to the front cover of the Folder. Glue a folded piece of red ribbon under the bottom right corner of the gold paper, just under the "X".
4) Sand the edges of two 1/2"-wide strips of gold paper. Glue one strip across each of the pockets on the inside of the folder. Zot(tm) a bow of red to the left strip. Sand a treasure chest Brad Buddy(tm) and attach it to the right pocket.
5) Computer journal two birthday sentiments on red texture paper. Crop each to about 3" wide and sand the edges. Mat on gold texture paper, trim to 1/8" and sand the edges. Glue the sentiments to the back of the pockets with the bottom edges tucked slightly into the pockets.


California Vacation Memories

- Flip Flop Brads 
- Crown Brads 
- black cardstock
- black pen
- black ink pad
- foam tape
- glue stick
Instructions:
1) With the Mini Folder unfolded, cover the front cover with lime paper, positioning the rainbow stripes in the bottom left. Cover the inside pocket flaps with the solid lime portion of the paper. Ink the edges of each of the covered areas, then fold and glue the folder into shape.
2) Computer journal "California", "vacation" and "memories" on gold texture paper and ink the edges. Zot(tm) a red mouse head brad in the top left corner of the folder's front cover, then glue the journaled words to the right. 
3) Mat a small photo on black cardstock, trim to 1/32" and glue to a blank tag punch-out. Add a flip flop brad ot the top of the tag, then glue the tag to the right side of the folder's front cover. Write the year below the tag. Zot(tm) the castle Brad Buddy(tm) in the bottom left corner of the cover.
4) Attach a blank label punch-out to the left inside pocket with two yellow brads. Foam tape the "fun!" punch-out to the label. Mat a small square photo on black cardstock and trim to 1/32". Add a crown brad to the photo subject, then glue the photo to the right pocket. Computer journal the subject's name on gold texture paper, ink the edges and glue below the photo. Accent with a red mini brad.
5) Computer journal a list on gold texture paper and accent with red ribbon, punch-outs and mini brads. Mat on black cardstock. Mat a small piece of gold paper on black cardstock and glue behind the top of the list to create a tab. Tuck the list into the left pocket. Tuck punch-outs into the right pocket.
6) Wrap a length of yellow ribbon around the folder's fold, knotting the tails on the front cover.
