Designer Tip: All die-cutting machines are a little different. If you are having difficulty getting a clean die-cut image, first use wax paper over the metal die, then run it through the die-cutting machine and then back through again. If it is still not a perfect cut, try turning the die and cardstock sideways and run through machine again.
- Card Front: Place the card fold on the left. Glue 4 3/4”x 6 1/4” Penelope lime gingham to the card center. Die cut three 1 1/4” circles from aqua cardstock, then cut each in half. Cut around the pink scallops of 5”x 1 1/4” Penelope scallop paper, glue the half circles extending from the top edge of the strip, then glue the border 3/8” from the card bottom.
- Make a cut in the fold, at the top edge of the border and thread with 18” of twine. Tie a bow at the left side of the border. Place “For You” Dazzles™ on the right side of border.
- Die cut four 1 5/8” scallop circles and cut a 1 1/4” circle from the center of each. Place all 4 at the top of the card with edges touching, as shown. Foam tape a 1 7/8” circle from Penelope rose paper and foam tape over the center of the 4 touching circles. Trace a 2B flower onto Penelope pink dot paper and 4D flower onto Penelope lime gingham. Mat both with white cardstock, leaving 1/8” border. Layer with foam tape, then top with a blue button threaded with a thin strip of white paper.
- Inside: Glue 4 3/4” x 2 1/2” Penelope scallop paper to the bottom of the card inside back. Glue 4 3/4”x3 3/4” Penelope lime gingham to the top. Cut four 1 1/4” aqua circles and glue across the paper seam. Cut 4D flower from Penelope pink dot paper, mat with white cardstock, leaving a 1/8” border and top with a green button threaded with thin strip of white paper. Foam tape to the third circle and place word Dazzles™ in remaining circles as shown. Cut a “v” in the left side of a 2”x 1/2” aqua strip. Glue to the top right edge of the paper and place “Happy Birthday” on the “banner.”
