3-D Rose Project: Felted Rose Supplies: - Rose 3-D Mold - Assortment C Roving - Moss Green Roving - Pen Style Needle Felting Tool - Large Needle Mat - scratch paper Instructions: 1) Place the Needle Mat on a sturdy, flat surface and place a piece of scratch paper on top. Place the mold on top of the paper. 2) Pull off a piece of pink roving and place it in one of the heart-shaped sections of the mold. Repeatedly poke the roving with the Needle Tool, poking through the scratch paper as well. Poke the roving until it forms a solid heart shape. Repeat, creating XX heart shapes in each size. 3) Pull off a piece of green roving and place it in the leaf-shaped section of the mold. Repeat the poking process until you form a solid leaf shape, then repeat for a second leaf. 4) Layer the heart-shaped pieces as directed by the manufacturer's directions (included with the mold) and attach them together using the Needle Tool. Repeat to attach the leaves to the bottom of the finished rose. Felt Bead Necklace Project: Felted Necklace Supplies: - Daisy 3-D Mold - Citrus Roving - Pen Style Needle Felting Tool - Large Needle Mat - scratch paper - hot water - Icy Rainbow Ribbons - large-eye needle Instructions: 1) Place the Needle Mat on a sturdy, flat surface and place a piece of scratch paper on top. Place the mold on top of the paper. 2) Pull off a piece of teal and a piece of purple roving and place them together in the circular section of the mold. Repeatedly poke the roving with the Needle Tool, poking through the scratch paper as well. Remove the ball and turn over, then replace in the mold and keep poking to create a uniform shape. Repeat the process to create multiple beads. 3) Run the beads under hot water and roll them between your palms to round the shapes. Dry overnight. 4) Thread a large-eye needle with pink sheer ribbon. Thread the felted beads onto the ribbon, evenly spaced, tying a knot on each end of each bead to hold them in place on the ribbon.
