On the matte side, cover each panel with brown stripes paper. Assemble the pocket with the inked side on the outside. 2) Draw dashed penwork around the edges of each panel on the outside of the pocket. Stamp "dad" across a blank label cut-out and glue it to the outside of the pocket's top flap. 3) Computer journal "Happy Father's Day!" on a blank tag cut-out and glue it to the left inside panel, extending to the right. Zot(tm) a black button to the tag's tab. 4) Stamp "You're the World's Best Dad!" on a 3 3/8"x4 3/8" piece of tan texture paper. Mat on brown texture paper, trim to 1/32" and glue to the inside of the pocket. Zot(tm) a knot of burgundy ribbon in the corner of the sentiment. 5) Computer journal "We love you, Dad" on a blank label cut-out and glue it across the front of the bottom pocket. 6) Tie burgundy ribbon lightly around the bottom pocket, tucking the pocket's top flap under the ribbon to close. Assemble the pocket. 2) Ink the edges of four 2"x4 1/4" pieces of pink diamonds paper. Glue the pieces to the front and back of the side panels. Mat a 1 7/8" square of white cardstock on black cardstock and attach the "Love to Shop" Brad Buddy(tm) to it. With the pocket's side panels closed, glue the square so it's centered between panels, gluing it only to the left panel so the panels are able to open. 3) Mat a 4"x4 1/8" piece of pink diamond paper on black cardstock and stamp "just for you" in the center. Glue the paper to the inside panel. 4) Stamp "surprise!" on a pink tag cut-out and add a black bow brad to the tab. Glue the tag to the inside of the pocket's top flap. 5) Add a shoe Brad Buddy(tm) to the center of a black silk flower and Zot(tm) it to the outside of the pocket's top flap. Cover the outside of the top flap with brown texture paper. Cover the front of the side panels with tan flourish paper. Cover the outside of the bottom flap and the back of the pocket with black striped paper. Assemble the pocket. 2) Punch a 3/4" circle of brown floral paper and ink the edges. Glue the circle to the top of a black Great Big Brad(tm). Layer brown and white silk flowers and use the brad to attach them to the pocket's top flap. Computer journal on tan flourish paper, crop to tag shape and ink the edges. Mat on black texture paper and glue the tag with the tab tucked under the big brad. 3) Mat two 2"x3" photos on black texture paper and glue one to the front of each of the pocket's side panels. Computer journal the subjects' names on tan flourish paper and mat on black texture paper. Glue the names below the photos and accent with a silk flower. 4) Computer journal one large and two small blocks on tan flourish paper and ink the edges. Mat each on black texture paper and accent the large block with ribbon and a small silk flower. Then glue the large journaling to the inside back panel and the other two to the backs of each side panel. 5) Wrap sheer swirly brown ribbon around the pocket's bottom flap and tie into a bow on the outside of the flap. Cover the front of the side panels with blue texture paper. Cover the outside of the bottom flap and the back of the pocket with plaid paper. Ink the edges of each panel and assemble the pocket. 2) Ink the edges of a 2 1/4"x2" piece of blue texture paper, then stamp straight stitches along each edge. Mat on green texture paper. Lightly sand the cowboy hat Brad Buddy(tm) and attach it to the square. Glue the loose ends of a folded piece of brown ribbon behind the left edge of the square. Foam tape the square to the outside of the pocket's top flap. 3) Stamp straight stitches twice down the right side of the pocket's left side panel with about 1/2" of space between. Sand the tops of three small Button Brads and attach them down the space between the stamping. 4) Cut a shirt pocket shape out of blue texture paper measuring 1 3/4" wide and 3" tall. Ink the edges and stamp straight stitches around the edges. Add a gold brad in the top left and right corners of the pocket and attach a Sheriff badge Brad Buddy(tm) to the center of the pocket. Glue the loose ends of a folded length of brown ribbon behind the right side of the pocket, then foam tape the pocket to the right side panel. 5) Lightly sand two cowboy boot Brad Buddies(tm) and attach them to the pocket's bottom flap. 6) Computer journal on blue texture paper, ink the edges and stamp straight stitches around the edges. Mat the journaling on green texture paper and glue to the inside back panel. Ink the edges of each panel. Assemble the Pinwheel and place it with the gingham panels at the top and bottom. 2) Ink the edges of a cherry cut-out and mat on green texture paper. Foam tape the cut-out to the bottom gingham panel. 3) Add black dashed penwork around the edges of a 1 3/4" square of green texture paper. Loop a length of aqua ribbon and layer it under a white flower. Place the ribbon and flower centered on the green paper square and insert a brown big brad through all layers to attach. Glue the paper square to the top gingham panel. Punch a cherry from the cherry paper using a 3/4" circle punch. Ink the edges of the circle and add black dashed penwork around the edges. Glue the circle to the top of the big brad. Lullabies Project: Decorated Pinwheel Pocket Supplies: - Sara's Surfaces(tm) Pinwheel Pockets - Kids 8"x8" Papers - Cardmaker's Icy Rainbow Ribbons - Music Note Brads - black pen - 1/8" hole punch Instructions: 1) Cover one of the pocket's rounded pinwheel panels with lime texture paper and one with pastel ribbons paper. Add dashed penwork along the long straight edges. Cover the remaining two panels with aqua texture paper and add "x" penwork along the long straight edges. 2) Fold the aqua panels inward and punch a hole at the bottom of the pastel ribbon panel. Run a length of lavender gingham ribbon through the punched hole, knotting one end to hold the ribbon in place. 3) Computer journal on a tag cut-out and accent with a music note brad. Glue the tag to the lime panel. Punch a hole through the tag's tab and the panel behind it. Run a length of lavender gingham ribbon through the punched hole, knotting one end. Tie both ribbon lengths to hold the pocket closed. Wish Project: Decorated Pinwheel Pocket Supplies: - Sara's Surfaces(tm) Pinwheel Pockets - Vintage 8"x8" Papers - Fold-It Ribbon Swirls template - Pearl ABCs - Light Blue Small Pearls - lavender brads - purple ink pad Instructions: 1) Cover the outside of pocket's rounded pinwheel panels with purple texture paper and the other two with aqua flourish paper. Ink the edges of each panel. Place the pocket the flourish panels at the top and bottom. 2) Attach Pearl ABCs to the top right edge of the pinwheels right purple panel. Attach lengths of light blue pearls along the rounded edges of the purple panels. Assemble the Pinwheel. 3) Glue tan and aqua paper back to back. Trace the template's Sails pattern onto the glued papers and cut out. Follow the instructions to fold the pattern into shape, adding a lavender brad to the center to hold the piece together. Glue the folded pattern in the center of the Pinwheel, attaching it to just one panel so the Pinwheel can be opened. Add one light blue pearl to the lavender brad. 4) Computer journal "on your birthday!" on a purple tag cut-out and ink the edges. Glue the tag next to the folded pattern, then add a light blue pearl to the tab. Assemble the Pinwheel. 2) Layer a lavender flower on top of a purple flower. Add a "friend" rub-on to a lime big brad and use it to attach the layered flowers. Zot(tm) the flowers in the center of the Pinwheel, attaching them to just one panel so the Pinwheel can be opened. 3) Computer journal "happy birthday!" on white cardstock and crop to a tag shape. Mat on lime texture paper and add a purple mini brad to the bottom of the exclamation mark. Glue the tag to the Pinwheel with the tab tucked under the silk flowers. 4) Cut the dowel to 8" long, then paint white and let dry. Glue the dowel to the back of the Pinwheel. Knot various lavender, lavender gingham and lime ribbons around the dowel.
