Friend Project: Card 1) Place the card with the fold on the left and cover the card front with lavender textured paper. Tear the right edge off a 2 1/4"-wide strip of light pink script paper and ink the torn edge. Glue the strip even with the card fold, leaving the torn right edge unglued. Tear the right edge off a 1 1/2"-wide strip of light pink rose paper and ink the torn edge. Glue the strip even with the card fold, then ink the edges of the card front. 2) Position swirl C from the template over the lavender script tag and rub lavender chalk over it. Repeat for a second swirl, then add a pink flower Brad Buddy(tm) to the center of the tag. Glue the tag at an angle over the right side of the card front, tucking it under the unglued edge of the script paper. Finish gluing the script paper in place. 3) Turn over the template and use a black pen to trace swirl K down the left side of the card front, then accent with dots from swirl E and write the word "friend". Trace swirl C twice over the right side of the card front and accent with dots. 4) Inside: Tear the right edge off a 1 1/2"-wide strip of light pink script paper and ink the torn edge. Glue the strip even with the card fold. Trace swirl C over the top right edge of the strip and write "smile" below. Ink the edges of a 4 1/8"x5 5/8" piece of purple words paper, then mat on black glimmer paper. 2) Flip over the template and position it so swirl E runs from the top right corner to the bottom left corner of the purple paper, then trace and fill in the swirl (not including the dots). Rotate the template so swirl E faces the opposite direction, then trace swirl E overlapping the first traced swirl. Add a black mini brad to each corner of the purple paper and glue it centered on the card front. 3) Trace swirl D continuously over a white chipboard "T", then adhere the letter centered on the card front. Write "thank you" on the purple circular tag, ink the edges and glue over the right side of the "T". Attach a knot of black ribbon over the tag's tab with a Zot(tm). 4) Inside: Ink the edges of a 4 1/8"x1 1/2" strip of purple words paper and glue it at the top of the card inside. Attach a knot of black ribbon over the bottom right edge of the strip with a Zot(tm). Glue the paper even with the top edge and 1" from the left edge of a sheet of light pink faux-texture paper. Add a brown brad to each top corner of the rose paper. Use a brown pen to trace swirl C from the template in the bottom left corner of the rose paper, then add a pink flower brad to the end. Mat a photo on purple glimmer paper and glue centered over the rose paper. 2) Trace swirl I down the right side of the page. Trace swirl F (not including the dots) at a vertical angle overlapping the top of swirl I. Trace swirl G overlapping the center of swirl I, then add swirl C to the right. Trace swirl G overlapping the bottom of swirl I. 3) Layer a pink silk flower on top of a brown flower and attach them over the top end of swirl F with Zots(tm). Fold another pink flower in half and attach it over the end of the center swirl G. Run embroidery floss through the holes on two large brown buttons, knotting the tails on top. Use Zots(tm) to attach one button in the center of each flower. Knot two pieces of ribbon and Zot(tm) one over each swirl, just below the flowers. 4) Mat a small photo on bronze glimmer and glue at an angle to the right of the folded flower. Add a pink flower brad to the bottom right corner. Computer journal the subject's name and date onto the circular pink tag cut-out and attach it over the bottom of the swirls with a brown brad in the tab. Accent the swirls with brown mini brads and a pink flower brad. Glue the photos 2 1/4" from the left side of a light blue textured sheet, centered between the top and bottom. 2) Ink the edges of a 1 1/8"x10 1/2" strip of blue and white floral paper and glue it overlapping the right edge of the photos. Ink the edges of a 1 1/4"x8 1/2" strip of dark green fern paper and glue it overlapping the right edge of the floral strip. Ink the edges of a 7/8"x10 3/4" strip of light green floral paper and glue it overlapping the right edge of the fern strip. 3) Use a black pen to trace swirl D from the template in each corner of the layout. Trace swirls C and G over the top of the paper strips, as shown. 4) Layer a small blue silk flower on top of a large blue flower and attach them at the top of the fern strip with a green brad in the center. Computer journal on blue and white floral paper and crop to three small strips. Ink the edges of each and glue under the silk flowers. Ink the edges of a 6 3/4"x9 1/2" piece of brown words paper, then glue 1" from the left edge of the leaves paper. 2) Double-mat a horizontal photo on black, then bronze glimmer, leaving the left edge of the black mat unglued. Computer journal the year onto tan cardstock, ink the edges and glue under the top left edge of the black mat. Finish gluing the mat in place, then glue the photo 5/8" from the left edge of the brown words paper. Add three mini brads down the top left edge of the words paper. 3) Flip over the template and trace swirl I below the photo. Trace swirl E (not including the dots) overlapping swirl I twice. Stamp "thankful" amid the swirls.
