Instructions:

  1. Start with the burgundy striped border paper with the border along the bottom. Cut two 12”x2 ½” strips of dark red swirls paper and glue to the burgundy sheet along the top and bottom, covering the striped border.
  2. Start with six 2 ¾”x4” photos, four vertical and two horizontal. Mat three photos on light green swirls, leaving a 1/8” border. Mat the other three on dark green. Create a cluster of two vertical photo and one horizontal photo near the top right corner, keeping ¼” in from the edges. Glue down the two vertical photos first, then use foam tape to adhere the horizontal photo as shown. Create another cluster of photos near the bottom left corner as shown. Glue down two of the photos and foam tape the third as before.
  3. Punch out the first piece of the lantern scroll. Write or print a title and some journaling on the blank spaces of the piece and glue to the page, ½” from the top and left side. Punch out the second layer of the piece and adhere to the first piece with foam pads. Repeat this process for the remaining layers.
  4. Punch out the candles scroll, journal on it, and glue to page ½” from the bottom and right side. Repeat the foam pad layering process described above.
