Designer Tips: Additional cards featuring papier tole can be found on the Christmas Card Classes DVD in Chapter 9, Mailable Cards.
Instructions:
- For the card front: Turn the card with the fold at the top. Cut Christmas dark snowflakes paper to cover the front and glue the upper half in place. Cut 1½"x5" Christmas blue striped paper and mat the long edges on Christmas aqua paper with ¼" borders. Trim with scallop-edged scissors, then glue to the card, ½" from the left edge. Cut out the “Let it snow” Christmas border and glue a 5" piece to the striped paper as shown.
- Trace and cut rounded label B from Christmas light snowflakes paper. Mat on Christmas blue paper with 1/32" borders, then stamp “Merry Christmas” on it. Glue to a blue label die cut, then insert a brad in each end. Punch a hole in each end of the die cut. Cut two 4" ribbons and knot one end of each. Thread the other end through a hole in the die cut. Glue the die cut to the front, 5/8" from the lower edge. Glue the ribbons across and under the side edges, then glue the snowflake paper edge in place. Cut out the “wintertime” Christmas art. Glue above the label and place a Dazzle™ as shown.
- For the inside: Cut a 5"x3½" Christmas light snowflakes paper and mat on Christmas aqua paper with 1/16" borders. Glue to the inside, leaving the left end unglued. Punch a hole in the left end of a teal label die cut and thread a knotted 4" ribbon through it as for the front. Glue the label and ribbon to the inside, gluing the ribbon end under the snowflakes paper. Glue the paper edge in place. Trace and cut bracket label C from Christmas light snowflakes paper and mat on Christmas blue paper with 1/32" borders. Stamp “joy to all” on it, then glue to the teal label. Glue a 5" length of the paper border on the left and place Dazzles™ as shown.
