Designer Tips: Additional cards featuring papier tole can be found on the Christmas Card Classes DVD in Chapter 5, Cards Made With Punches, Templates & Stencils.

Instructions:

  1. For the card front: Turn the card with the fold at the top. Cut Christmas gold plaid paper to cover the front with the words positioned at the upper left and glue. Punch a row of five trees in Christmas green plaid paper, then trim to 6½"x2¼". Cut a 6½"x1" Christmas red plaid paper and thread it behind the trees. Mat the strip on Christmas burgundy textured paper with 1/16" borders on the long edges.
  2. Thread an 8" ribbon behind the trees and glue the ends to the border back. Glue the border to the card, 5/8" from the lower edge. Cut out the Christmas art and foam tape to the lower right. Knot a 4" ribbon and glue between the first two trees on the left. Place medium star Dazzles™ over the punched stars on the treetops, and small stars among the words as shown.
  3. For the inside: Cut Christmas green plaid border paper to cover the inside with the border at the top and glue. Stamp “Merry Christmas” in green on a gold label, with a red swirl on each side. Glue to the inside center. Cut a 6½"x 7/8" Christmas gold plaid paper from the remaining words section and mat the long edges on Christmas burgundy paper with 1/16" borders. Glue as shown. Punch a tree in Christmas green plaid paper and trim to 1¼"x2 1/8". Thread a 1¼"x1" Christmas red plaid paper behind the tree and glue. Mat on Christmas gold plaid paper with 1/16" borders, then glue to the upper right. Place Dazzles™ as shown.
