- Snowman: Print the snowman pattern and use transfer paper to trace patterns for the snowman head and body onto white cardstock. Cut out and add detail to face with the Sharpie® pen. Color cheeks with chalk, nose and tongue with colored pencils.
- Iron interfacing onto the back of the fabric according to the directions. Peel the backing from the interfacing. Place the clothing patterns directly over the fabric and cut out. Use the Sharpie® to add details to the sweater and scarf. Mat with black cardstock. Cut scarf fringe and mittens from dark green felt.
- Cover the tag with green paper. Assemble and glue the snowman to the tag. Write “Merry Christmas” on a white paper strip and glue above the snowman. Thread the tag top with green ribbon.
Designer Tip: To keep the fabric from fraying, iron interfacing onto the back of the fabric before cutting out the clothing pieces. The interfacing will make the fabric somewhat stiff and much easier to piece with. Remove the paper backing from cutout pieces and glue to black cardstock for matting. A Sharpie® pen will prevent the ink from bleeding into the fabric. |
