Designer's Tip: Use Washi Tape to make a label background for a card focal.
Washi papers are somewhat translucent. It take advantage of their vibrant colors it is best to place them on a white surface, such as a white card or white cardstock when cutting into shapes
Instructions
- Place the card with the fold at the side. Glue 3/4” x 6 1/4” pink diamond paper to the center. Place 5” lengths of the 10mm orange and pink Washi Tape evenly spaced on a 5” x 3/4” piece of white cardstock. Glue across the card center.
- Cut 4” lengths of both the 10 and 15mm pink and orange Washi Tapes. Line up the tapes vertically and alternate colors on white cardstock to create a block shape. Place the 3 1/2” x 3” Bracket Label over the Washi Tape block and trace. Cut out and mat with white cardstock, leaving a 1/8” border. Glue the label shape to the card center.
- Place the body of the DSD butterfly on white cardstock and apply orange glitter. Place with wings and apply pink. Place the top and bottom inner wing pieces and color yellow. Place the remaining pieces and color orange. Cut around the butterfly, leaving a 1/16” border of cardstock. Foam tape the butterfly to the label.
- Wrap the card fold with a 24” length of twine. Knot the ends and then tie a bow near the top of the fold. Place “BFF” Dazzles on a small orange tag cut out and glitter a tiny DSD butterfly pink. Cut out and glue the butterfly to the tag. Glue the tag under the bow. Secure bow to the top of the tag with a Zot™.
- Inside: Place a length of Washi tape near the card bottom inside back. Place another length along the right edge. Glue a large pink tag near the top of the tape on the right. Place Dazzles and top with a twine bow.
