Designer's Tip: Use a border punch to make a beautiful folded focal point.
Instructions
- Place your card with fold on the left. Cover with red cardstock. Punch the top and bottom edges of a 5”x5 1/2” white cardstock with the Doily border punch. Place 1/8” from top edge. Place a 5” long punched doily strip 1/8” from lower edge. Center a 5”x1 1/2” striped paper on the white cardstock. Ink edges of card maroon.
- Place a Dazzles™ large outer doily on gingham paper and cut out. Foam tape to front of card. Punch the top edge of a 12”x1 3/4” vellum. Score vertically every 1/
- ” Accordion fold, then bring ends together and glue. Glue to gingham paper and trim to edge of folded doily. Center on top of Dazzles™ doily on card. Place small Dazzles™ doily on vellum and cut out. Center on folded doily. Place a pearl at center of small doily.
- Stamp “Just for you” on red cardstock with VersaMark™. Apply embossing powder and use heat tool to set. Cut out around stamped image. Mat on vellum with 1/8” border. Ink edges maroon. Foam tape to upper left of card. Zot on a 6” length of ribbon on lower red area, tucking ends under red cardstock. Tie a ribbon knot and place on ribbon strip. Place a pearl on the knot.
- For the inside: Cover with yellow floral paper. Punch the top and bottom edges of a 5”x6” red cardstock. Center on card. Place saved red scallop borders on top and bottom edges.
- Center a 5” punched red cardstock doily strip on a 5”x2 1/4” white cardstock with top and bottom edges punched. Center on a 5”x3 1/8” vellum with top and bottom edges punched. Center on card.
- Place a medium Dazzles™ doily on gingham paper and cut out. Mat on yellow paper with 1/8” border and ink edges maroon. Foam tape over a folded piece of ribbon, at center left of card. Stamp “Just for you” on vellum with VersaMark™. Apply embossing powder and use heat tool to set. Cut out around stamped image. Mat on red with 1/16” border. Mat on yellow with 1/8” border. Ink edges maroon. Foam tape to upper left of Dazzles™ doily.
