Heart Ornament

Use the template to trace and cut out four small basic heart shapes each from red paper and green striped paper. Separate the colors, and place one green striped and one red paper piece overlapping to form a heart shape. Separate the strands on each piece; begin weaving them together, starting with the inside strands. Working toward the outer edges, continue weaving the strands creating a checkerboard design. Turn the finished heart over and tape the back to secure the design.
Fold each heart in half with colored sides together. Take two hearts and glue the right side of one to the left side of the second heart (back to back), aligning the edges evenly. Continue with the third heart in the same manner. Fold an 8" length of ribbon in half, forming a loop. Glue the ends to the center, then glue the fourth heart in place. Add gold mini brad to the center of a small burgundy poinsettia and Zot to the top of the heart as shown.
