Happy Birthday Project: Card Supplies: - Starflower Fold-It Punch - Birthday Finished in a Flash!(tm) - black pen - fine-grade sandpaper or emery board - foam tape - 5"x6 1/2" blank white card Instructions: 1) Sand the edges of a 6 1/2"x5" piece of blue textured paper, then add straight stitch penwork around the edges. Add a different colored mini brad to each corner. Place the card with the fold at the top and glue the paper to the card front. 2) Sand and add penwork around the edges of a 4"x3 1/2" piece of yellow circles paper. Mat on lime textured and sand the edges. Glue the papers centered on the card front. Foam tape the "H/happy" punch-out centered on the yellow paper. 3) Punch a Starflower shape out of green, orange and red textured papers. Sand and add penwork around the edges of each, then fold into shape. Add a swirl brad to the center of each flower and foam tape them to the card front. Sand the edges of the green "Happy Birthday" punch-out and foam tape it tucked under one of the swirl brads. 4) Inside: Sand and add penwork around the edges of a 6 1/2"x1 1/2" strip of blue textured paper. Add three mini brads along the bottom left edge, then glue across the center of the card inside. 5) Foam tape the "celebrate!" tab and number monograms to the strip. Punch a Starflower shape out of red and green textured papers, then sand and add penwork around the edges. Fold the flowers and add a swirl brad to the center of each, then foam tape them to the paper strip. Dad's Words of Advice Project: 12"x12" page Supplies: - Pinwheel Fold-It Punch - Great Outdoors Finished in a Flash!(tm) - brown ink pad - fine-grade sandpaper or emery board - foam tape - small Zots(tm) Instructions: 1) Ink the edges of an 11 1/2" square of striped paper, then glue centered on brown textured paper and add a brown brad to each corner. Place the papers so the striped paper runs vertically. 2) Mat a horizontal photo on green textured paper and ink the edges. Fold two 2" lengths of brown ribbon in half and secure the loose ends behind the top left edge of the photo mat with two green mini brads. Glue the photo in the top left corner of the striped paper. 3) Mat two vertical photos on green textured paper and ink the edges. Attach one end of an 8" length of brown ribbon behind the bottom left edge of one photo, and one end of a 3" length behind the bottom right edge of the other photo. Glue the photos overlapping in the bottom right corner of the page. Tie the loose ribbon ends together across the photos, using a Zot(tm) to hold the knot in place. 4) Computer journal "Dad's Words of Advice..." on ivory textured paper and ink the edges. Add a brown mini brad to the top left corner and foam tape the title in the top right corner of the page. 5) Computer journal a list of advice on ivory textured paper and ink the edges. Add brown, gold and green mini brads as bullet points. Foam tape the list in the bottom left corner of the page. 6) Punch four Pinwheel shapes: One brown textured, one plaid and two light blue. Ink the edges of each and fold them into shape, then glue them throughout the page. Sand the edges of four leaf and pinecone tile punch-outs and foam tape one in the center of each Pinwheel. 7) Sand the edges of word, tab and label punch-outs and glue or foam tape them to the journaling and around the Pinwheels. Friend Project: 12"x12" page Supplies: - Double-Petal Fold-It Punch - Paper Pizazz(r) Use 'Em for Anything Bright - red brads - white cardstock - black pen - blue ink pad Instructions: 1) Place a sheet of blue striped paper with the stripes running vertically. Glue a 2 1/2"-wide strip of red textured paper even with the bottom edge. 2) Double-mat a 7"x5" photo on white cardstock, then red textured paper, inking the edges of the white mat. Add crisscross penwork around the edges of the white mat, then glue the photo centered at the top of the page. 3) Computer journal on white cardstock and mat on red textured paper. Add crisscross penwork around the edges of the journaling, then glue it centered under the photo. 4) Punch 8 Double-Petal flowers out of light blue textured paper. Ink the the edges blue and fold each flower into shape. Using red brads, attach five flowers across the top of the red paper strip, two in the upper right corner of the photo and one in the lower left corner of the photo. 5) Punch extra Double-Petal shapes out of green textured paper. Trim off pieces of the unfolded shapes and glue them tucked under the folded flowers to create leaves.
