For the Card Front:

  1. Place the card with the fold on the left. Cut a 1/2"-wide strip of lime textured paper and sand one long edge. Glue the strip even with the card fold, placing the sanded edge against the fold. Sand one long edge of a 1 1/8"-wide strip of blue textured paper. With the sanded edge on the left, glue the blue strip overlapping about 1/8" on the right side of the lime strip. Sand one long edge of a 1/4"-wide strip of purple textured paper. With the sanded edge on the left, glue the purple strip overlapping about 1/8" on the right side of the blue strip. Cover the remaining card front with yellow with stars paper, placing the paper so it overlaps about 1/8" on the right side of the purple strip, then sand the edges. Add one sanded lavender mini brad to both the top and bottom of the lime paper strip.
  2. Sand the edges of the gift package and cake artwork tiles. Mat each tile on blue textured paper, trimming the mats to 1/16". Sand the edges and lightly sand the surface of a lime chipboard tag, then glue the matted tiles vertically on the sanded tag.
  3. Use a hammer and the Impress Set letters to impress "celebrate!" across a blue chipboard tag (use the letter "I" to create an exclamation mark). Sand the edges and lightly sand the surface of the tag. Punch a 1/16" hole beneath the exclamation mark and insert a sanded lime mini brad to complete the exclamation mark.
  4. Layer the blue tag on top of the lime tag and use an 11" length of lime grosgrain ribbon to tie the tags together, tying the ribbon into a shoestring bow. Use a Glue Dot™ to attach the bow over the purple paper strip with the tags extending over the yellow with stars paper. Use Glue Dots™ to secure the tags in place on the card front.

For the Card Inside:

  1. Sand the edges of a 1 1/2"-wide strip of yellow with stars paper. Mat the long edges on lime textured paper, trimming the mats to 3/16" and sanding the edges. Mat one long edge on purple textured paper, trimming the mat to 1/8" and sanding the edge. Glue the papers even with the right side of the card, placing the purple strip on the left.
  2. Sand the edges of the "wish" and "gift" artwork cut-outs, then glue them vertically, overlapping the left edge of the papers.

A Tip From Susan: Use the Impress Set to add textured lettering to surfaces like cardstock, glimmer paper, vellum, slide mounts, metal, chipboard and more! Just place the paper or other material on a work surface, then select your choice of metal letter stamps from the Impress Set. Working one letter at a time, position the metal stamp in place and tap on the top of the stamp with a hammer to make an impression of that letter. After you've completed the word or phrase, you can customize your alphabet impressions further by sanding the surface or adding chalk or penwork.

See your local retailer for project supplies.
