Designer’s Tip: Gold Perfect Pearls and black cardstock combine for a striking embossed image on this card.
- Place your card with the fold at the top. Cover with Burgundy Suede.
- Use the Embossing/Die-Cutting machine and embossing folder to emboss the image on black cardstock. Place the embossed piece on your work surface. Ink the brayer with VersaMark™ ink, then apply the ink to the embossed surface with the brayer. Be sure to move the brayer in all directions to cover entire embossed area. Use the large brush in the Perfect Pearls set to brush Perfect Gold Perfect Pearls over the inked image. Shake off the excess. Wipe off the brush with a paper towel, brush lightly over the image to pick up the excess Pearls in the recessed areas of the cardstock. Remove as much excess as you can. Heat set with the Heat Gun, then spritz the piece with water and let dry.
- Trim the embossed piece leaving 1/16” black borders at the edges. Zot™ a 5 3/4"x1/2” Burgundy Suede strip centered on it. Mat the embossed piece on gold paper with 1/8” borders. Glue to the card front, centered 3/4" from the bottom. Place “Happy Birthday” near the bottom edge as shown. Add Gold Thin Lines Dazzles™on the card edges.
- Use the Embossing-Die-Cutting machine and Bodacious Blooms cutting dies to cut one Burgundy Suede flower and one gold paper flower. Layer with foam tape and Zot™ as shown. Punch a 1/4" Burgundy Suede circle and glue centered on the gold flower. Add a Gold Jewel Dazzle™ to the burgundy circle.
