Designer Tip: Use stencil tape to hold the stencil in position and to mask off the paper around the stencil to protect it from paint.

  1. Place the card with the fold at the left. Fold the right side of the card front back to the fold to make an s fold. Unfold and cover the inside front with rose colored patterned paper and refold. Trim the paper even with the card edges.
  2. Trim the left front edge of the card 1/8 on the s fold. Mat the edge on dark burgundy paper. Cover the inside back with purple/rose sponged paper. Apply black ink to the edges. Adhere purple nailhead stickers to the left and right edges.
  3. Place the heart stencil onto pink parchment paper and lightly trace the heart shape with a pencil. Apply tape around the edges of the stencil and use the tool to apply dimensional paint over the surface. Immediately and carefully remove tape and stencil from the paper, before the paint dries.
  4. Let the paint dry for about an hour and cut around the heart shaped pencil line. Glue the heart to dark burgundy paper and trim around the heart leaving a 1/16 wide border. Glue the left side of the heart only to the center of the folded s on the card front. Glue a purple bow at the top of the heart.
