  1. Place a sheet of lavender bordered paper with the striped border at the bottom. Mat the long edges of a flower border punch-out on lavender mesh paper, trim the mats to 1/8" and ink the edges. Glue the border covering the striped border at the bottom of the page.
  2. Ink the long edges of a 12"x7" piece of lavender mesh paper and glue it 1 1/2" from the top of the page. Ink the edges of a 9 1/2"x6 1/2" piece of multi floral paper. Mat on aqua mesh paper, trimming the mat to 1/8" and inking the edges. Glue the paper to the right side of the lavender smesh paper.
  3. Mat a 7"x5" photo on pink mesh paper, trim to 1/8" and ink the edges. Glue the photo to the right side of the multi floral paper.
  4. Computer journal the photo subject's name and age on yellow mesh paper, crop to a strip with extra space on each end, then ink the edges. Mat on pink mesh paper, trim to 1/4" and ink the edges. Attach the journaling below the photo with a blue mini brad in the extra space at each end of the journaling.
  5. Glue “G”, “I”, “R” and “L” punch-outs to the right end of the border at the bottom of the page. Computer journal “our little” on yellow mesh paper. Use the template to trace the smallest rounded tag shape around the journaling, then cut out. Ink the edges of the tag, then attach it to the left side of the “G” punch-out with a blue mini brad.
  6. Glue small word punch-outs throughout the page. Attach butterfly brads throughout the page, then use a black pen to accent the butterflies with heads, antennae and flight patterns.

A tip from Laura:
While butterfly embellishments (not to mention dragonflies, bumblebees and ladybugs) make adorable page accents as is, I love adding movement to the page with penwork. For this girly layout, I used a black pen to add heads and antennae to the butterfly brads, then added personality with dashed, curvy flight patterns. Use dashes like I did, or use solid or dotted lines for your own personality!
