Designer's Tip: I used the 15 Butterflies & Dragonflies Template to create a butterfly to hang inside this ornament, then decorated it with Mixem's Butterfly Dazzles for a sparkly look.

  1. Trace two butterfly shapes from purple POW paper then cut them out. Align the shapes with white sides together. Place one end of a 3" length of thread or floss between the two butterfly shapes at the center. Glue the thread and two shapes together. Decorate both sides of the butterfly with stickers. Place the butterfly inside one half of the ball ornament and tie the thread through the plastic opening at the top of the ball so the butterfly hangs in the center of the opening. Add a Zot to anchor the thread in place. Now add the second half of the ornament.
  2. Add a border sticker around the seam of the ornament, then add small butterfly stickers randomly to the ball as shown. Wrap the plastic opening at the top of the ornament with memory thread securing in place with Zots adhesive dots.
  3. Take the remaining piece of memory thread and fold in half making a loop. Thread 1" the loop through the opening, twist the base of the loop, then pull the ends through the loop and tighten it. Pull the ends through the loop again, then tie a knot at the base of the loop to secure. Wrap the ends of the memory thread around the paintbrush handle to coil it as shown. Place a small Mixem's butterfly sticker on a scrap of POW paper and trim the edges. Add the inner dots of the butterfly sticker with another color. Fold the wings of the butterfly sticker and Zot at the base of the memory thread loop as shown.
