Designer's Tip: Add Stonewashed ink plus Silver Metallic Mixables ink to color a small butterfly mask, then decorate it with Silver Petite Dazzles for a stunning card focal. You can also color Dazzles with alcohol inks for a different look.

  1. Trim your card to a 5" square, then place with the fold at the left. Cut a 5" square Color Me Glossy Butterflies paper and use the applicator and felt to apply Blending Solution to the paper. Now add a few drops of rust ink to the moistened applicator felt and add color to the paper with a pouncing motion. Moisten the paper towel with blending solution (or use a fresh applicator felt) and remove excess ink from the paper to show the white pattern. Glue paper even with the card front.
  2. Cut out the tag and border leaving a thin white border. Moisten each with blending solution, then add a few drops each of rust ink and stonewashed ink to the moistened applicator felt and spread the color over the tag and border with a pouncing motion. Moisten the paper towel and wipe off the excess. Mat the tag and border with light blue cardstock with 1/16" borders. Foam tape the border across the bottom of the card front trimming sides evenly with the card. Glue the tag just right of center as shown.
  3. Apply a few drops of stonewashed ink and silver mixatives to a small butterfly mask. Spread the color over the butterfly with a moistened applicator. Let dry, then embellish the butterfly with silver Petite Dazzles stickers. Lightly fold the butterfly wings and glue the body to the tag on the card front. Ink "smile" and small flower stickers with stonewashed ink and let dry. Embellish the tag with the stickers. Zot knotted ribbon to the card front as shown.
