Designer’s Tip: Use pens, Smooch® Ink and Stickles® to decorate the banners.
- Place the card fold on the side and cover with Hopscotch yellow plaid paper and ink edges black. Place the banner stencil on 3 5/8”x5 ¾” white cardstock. Use stylus handle and pads to apply a different color of distress ink on each row of banners. Use the fine tip black pen to draw a curved line along the top of each banner row, connecting the banners. Decorate the banners with dots, stripes and stitches using a purple gel pen, Stickles® and Smooch™. Mat rectangle with black cardstock, leaving 1/8” border and glue to the card. Place lengths of Teal Jewel Dazzles down the left and right sides of the card as shown.
- Stamp the birthday cake image onto white cardstock and again on Hopscotch yellow plaid. Cut out the top layer of the cake from the yellow plaid and glue to the white stamped image. Color the cake stripes with Orchid Frost Smooch® Ink. Place dots of Stickles® over the stamped dots on the 2nd layer and let dry. Use a purple gel pen to color the cake’s banner. Trace Design Tool Kit #7 vintage label, cut out and ink edges black. Trace beveled label onto black cardstock and foam tape the stamped label to the center. Glue the black label to the card center.
- Stamp the birthday circle greeting twice onto white cardstock using both black and salty ocean inks. Cut out around the scalloped edge of the blue image and cut out the circle only from the black image. Foam tape the black circle to the blue scalloped circle. Place several layers of foam tape on the back and place on the right side of the cake image as shown.
