Designer Tip: Wipe the metal surface of the compass with vinegar or alcohol before painting. Lay the compass flat on your craft sheet and spritz randomly with True Turquoise, leaving some of the metal showing through. While the paint is wet, use a paint brush to apply Icicle Glaze to random open areas, then spatter more onto the surface with the paint brush. Spritz Turquoise Blue randomly over the surface until you get the effect you like, leaving some of the metal showing through. Let dry completely. Use the sponge dabber to apply a little white acrylic paint to some of the edges and around the letters. Let dry. Back the center circle with black suede, using ultra tape. Tie loops of twine and several other ribbons onto the lower left area, then stack and attach paper flowers, buttons and sequins with Zots, as shown.
