Designer's tip: When applying glitter to center areas. apply small amount to that area only and use a craft knife to scrap off any large amounts of excess glitter that attaches to other areas waiting for color.

  1. Place the card fold on the side. Cover the card with dark blue paper. Mat a 4 1/2" x 6" rectangle of blue paper with circle border with a 1/16" border of red paper. Ink the edges black and glue to the center of the blue card.
  2. Place the bird stencil on point at the center of a 3" square of adhesive sheet. Apply blue glitter to the bird and tap off the excess, returning it to the jar. Apply green to holly leaves and tap off excess. Apply red to berries and finally silver to the outer areas around the brass frame. Tap off excess silver and return to jar.
  3. Gently peel the stencil from the adhesive by slightly bending and peeling. Once removed, apply gold glitter to newly exposed areas of adhesive. Tap off excess gold and return to the jar. Glue the glittered bird to the card front. Foam tape a blue greeting to the circle border and glue a 1/4" red sheer ribbon bow to the bottom left side of the square.
  4. inside: Glue 1/4" length of red matting to the bottom back edge of a 5" x 2 3/4" border to "joy" circle paper with a striped border and glue to the inside top of the card back. Glue a greeting over the border and add a knotted length of red ribbon.
