Designer's Tip: This little treat box is perfect for giving a small gift, candy, or chocolate.

  1. Cut a 4 3/4"x9” rectangle from teal pastel cardstock. Score across the piece, 1” from the bottom. Fold the bottom up, onto the front. Score across the piece, 2 1/4” from the top, and fold it down on the front. Now cut a 4 3/4"x7” rectangle from teal pastel cardstock. Score across the piece, 1” from the bottom. Fold it up, onto the back.
  2. Take the longer teal pastel rectangle and turn it so the 2 1/4" folded flap is at the bottom and out flat. Place the large lace oval cutting die face down on the flap, centered near the outer edge of the flap. Secure the edges of the cutting die to the cardstock with stencil tape. Now turn the cardstock over and place only the 2 1/4" flap with cutting die on the cutting plate of your die cutting machine, aligning the scored line even with the forward edge of your cutting plate (the remaining portion of the teal pastel rectangle will be off the plate, going through the machine first, with no support). Place the second cutting plate on top and pull it through your machine. Remove the cardstock and trim away the excess edges on the scored line at each side. Cut a large scalloped oval mat from Emma’s Garden tan/ivory dots paper. Place the lacy teal flap centered on the tan/ivory mat. Mark the side edges aligned with the scored flap on the tan/ivory mat. Remove the mat and cut away the excess. Glue the flap and mat together. Fold the flap down so it is at the top of the rectangle
  3. Place the small oval mat cutting die centered on the 6” teal pastel rectangle, 7/8” above the scored line on the rectangle. Tape into place. Turn the piece over and run it through your die cutting machine. Cover the back of the oval opening with a 4”x3” piece of acetate and glue or tape in place.
  4. Place the long teal pastel rectangle with the 1” flap at the bottom. Now place that bottom flap inside the 1” bottom flap of the short teal pastel rectangle, so the 2 flaps overlap and the short rectangle is in front. Cut a 4 3/4"x1” teal pastel cardstock and glue it even with the flap on the inside for support. The lacy oval flap should overlap the top front of the box and the acetate-lined oval near the bottom.
  5. Cut a 4 3/4"x1/2” Emma’s Garden tan/ivory dots paper and glue it even with the bottom front of the box. Cut a 4 3/4"x1/4” Emma’s Garden dark pink dots paper and glue it centered on the tan/ivory paper. Cut a 4 3/4"x1/4” teal/pink/ivory tiny flowers paper and glue it even with the bottom of the tan/ivory paper.
  6. Place Cute Easter Chick Dazzles™ “Peep, Peep!” on the left side of the box, just above the oval window. Place Emma’s Garden dark pink dots paper beneath the cheeks of the Dazzles™ large chick, trimming the edges even with the cheeks. Back the entire chick on Emma’s Garden tan/ivory dots paper. Apply brown chalk to the outer edges, under the wing, and edges of the nose of the chick. Foam tape onto the box, overlapping the right side of the oval window.
  7. Back remaining Dazzles™ eggs and flowers with Emma’s Garden patterned papers as shown. Foam tape or glue in place on the box near the oval window. Decorate the flowers and lacy oval flap with Silver Jewel Dazzles as shown. Use 1/2" wide pink/ivory dots ribbon to tie a bow. Zot™ the bow centered on the lacy flap. Fill the plastic or cellophane bag with treats and secure the top. Place inside the box. Keep the lacy flap in place with a Zot™.
