Designer Tip: Set the guides on the Tonic Border System to 3.5 cm (ruler located at the bottom of the Border System). Punch a Fancy Edger scallop at the center of the paper and then move the edge of the image to the center of a guide and punch again. Repeat and then move to the opposite side of the first punched image.
Supplies:
Instructions:
- Place the card fold at the side. Cover the card with the ivory script paper with the back border along the fold. Ink the edges of a 4”x5” aqua patterned paper and glue ¾” from the top of the card and ¾” from the fold. Glue a 1 ½” wide strip of inked striped paper down the length of the card, 1” from the card fold. Apply ink to the card edges.
- Cut a 1 ½” wide strip of red print paper and punch a row of 5 Fancy Edger scallop images. Punch the heart accent punch centered in each scallop. Cut the red strip to 4 5/8” wide and apply black ink to the edges. Glue across the card, 1 ¼” from the bottom. Apply a length of Dazzles flower border across the top edge of the red border.
- Line the bird cage with red print paper and cut out. Glue the cage to the center of the striped border ¾” from the top of the card. Place a length of the flower border above it, to “hang” the cage. Place “Tweet Hearts” on the right side of the card, over the aqua blue paper. Line 2 medium birds with red patterned paper and glue on each side of a tiny heart Dazzles below the title.
- Inside the card: Glue a 2” wide strip of striped paper, ¼” from the top edge of the card inside back. Glue a 7/8” strip of aqua patterned paper to the center of the strip. Tear the bottom edge of a 1 ¾”x3” long strip of red patterned paper. Ink the edges and glue to the top edge of the card, 7/8” from the right edge. Place the “Some Birdie Special” near the top of the strip and a double heart below.
