Mother’s Day Ideas

Since Mother’s Day is right around the corner I wanted to show you some really great projects that use our new Sew Sweet Dazzles™ and all sorts of fun sewing embellishments! These are great ideas for Mother’s Day cards and gifts!

Sew Sweet Card

I really love the border on the Sew Sweet Dazzles™ ; it’s amazing how much it pops when backed with paper, like LeNae did here. And these clothes Hanger Clips are so cute! They’re perfect for attaching a greeting.

Wood buttons

These wood buttons are so versatile! LeNae chalked them here but she used inkpads on the chipboard pieces below, there are so many ways to embellish these blank pieces, you could even use glitter .

Great Gift Idea–Stretched Canvas

Sew Sweet Canvas Collage

A collaged canvas is a great way to use your cardmaking and scrapbooking supplies for gift ideas. Simply ink or paint the canvas then decorate!

I love these Button and Still Sew Cute chipboard pieces from Maya Road. LeNae colored them with Aged Mahogany and Tumbled Glass Distress inks to get a great color that matches the Heritage Papers perfectly! The mini wooden spools are wrapped with Color Infusions thread to give them a touch of sparkle.

These are great ideas for mom, grandma or even your daughter (who may also be a mom).

Let me know what you’ve made for your Mom, leave a comment or upload an image!

    Welcome to the blogging world!!!

I just love these layout ideas – These would make a beautiful framed piece for someone’s sewing room – full of memories and inspiration. WOW!

I lost my Mother, without warning, two years ago. Since then, Mother’s day has a sadness to it, even though I am a mom myself! I’ve decided to make a tradition of honoring ‘one special mom” each year. Someone I know who I think is doing a great job – and sending her a card – telling her why I think she’s a great mom. That way I can still honor the day – and hopefully make someone elses more special.

Thank you for all your inspiration to all of us!!!

I have a daughter that is 29. She goes to LSU University , works and is a full time mother. I got her a ultimate calming facial at a spa near her home. She works so hard, and is a devoted mother. She really deserves this.

I love Paper Wishes. I’m new to card making and cannot find a resource to teach me how to do all the lovely basics such as attaching ribbons and bows, how to properly tie bows, which adhesive is best for which type of element. I would be so grateful if you could point me in the right direction or post webisodes to teach us beginners the how-to’s! Thanks for all you do and for such awesome contributions to the world of creativity!
