Two weeks, and still EXCITED!

Greetings! I’m so excited to be the newest member of the HOTP family as the new Marketing gal! The last two weeks, have been filled with learning all about HOTP and what goes on behind the scenes. I still have soooo much to learn about all the products and tools that are in the Paper Wishes Catalog, but one thing is for sure…I’m very happy to be a part of it all!

And I have the “insider” information about what is coming…..

Week of Webisodes is coming week of August 22nd! This will be featuring some AMAZING Christmas Cards by Teresa Welch, one of our fabulous designers! Super Excited to be a part of it all. I’ve been very busy gathering all new products, going over notes with Paulette & Ann, and seeing the new techniques they’ll be featuring!

Another project I was excited to be part of was the soft launch of our NEW and IMPROVED online Catalog!  This week, we did a soft launch of our new Virtual Catalog, to a limited audience (wanted to make sure everything worked before showing it to everyone). Our IT guys have been working on bringing you a new and improved online catalog. (click to the virtual)  Check it out! This format is more user friendly but still show you all 1200 items online from the Paper Wishes catalog. They came up with away to enlarge the images and they put them into categories to make things easier for you to see and find! Just keep in mind, it won’t be exactly the same as the printed Paper Wishes catalog, but everything is still there! Please click on the link above to check it out for yourself. Feel free to let me know what you think!

Well, let me get back to work! I’d love to hear from you! Leave me your thoughts, comments about the upcoming week of webisode and the new Virtual catalog! Have a great rest of your weekend!

Hi Cristina: A big “thank you” to the IT guys – the new catalogue is great! The setup is much better, and so much easier to read. Your job sounds marvellous. I can imagine there is a lot to learn, but what fun working with all the prouducts and such interesting and talented people. Look forward to each blog. A big thanks to all for all that each does to offer us not only the tools, but inspiration, too. The webisodes are quite helpful, and it looks like Paulette and Ana have so much fun. Not too many people today can say that about where they work. Thanks again.

One thing about HOTP employees, that I noticed, we are all working together to bring our customers the best! Thanks again! Cristina

Looking forward to another week of webisodes! Will be on holiday though till August 31th. And since I don’t take a laptop with me and won’t be able to see them straight away I will have something to look forward to when I get home. With a large latte watching all the webisodes from start to finish, barely can’t wait to come home! Compliments to the IT guys, they did a wonderfull job creating the new online catalogue. It is very easy to read. Just wished the shipping costs to Europe were a lot lower
than they are now, I then defenitely would order more often.

    • Cristina says:

Hi Monique – I’ll send those compliments to the guy, they sure did a wonderful job and it’s nice to hear it from our customers 🙂 Have a safe trip and those webisodes will be here waiting for you once you are home! Have a great day, Cristina

    Hi Christina
I’ve just looked at the new on-line catalog and find it’s much, much easier to read. The only thing is, the bundled specials aren’t near the individual items. Sometimes when I’m looking through the catalogue, the multi-item specials tempt me to buy more then what I had originally thought! I see you put the bundles at the end of the “section” (for example, the New Items section had all the bundles at the end). The bundled items often refer to a particular project, but in the catalog, there didn’t appear to be any reference to particular projects, although I realize this was very much a sample document, not the final version.
I certainly found it easier to navigate the new format, and it was clear which items had a video, and it was easy to click on the item and be taken immediately to the detailed write-up. I hope that we will continue to get lots of new projects in the catalog, with special prices for the purchase of related items, just as we do now.
As to the week of webisodes coming up, I think everyone who is a weekly webisode fan will be looking forward to a new one every day. I know I am, and Christmas cards, in particular, are great fun to make. Although, here on the West Coast of Canada, after a cool and cloudy June and July, we are only JUST beginning to think we will be getting to enjoy some summer weather this year, after all. Personally, I’m not ready to turn my thoughts to Christmas just yet, not when I’ve just started to wear my summer shorts in the last two weeks!

    • Cristina says:

      Hi There Arlene,

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll certainly pass on the input to our IT guys. I’m glad you found it easier to nagivate!

We are here in Oregon and I think we have the same type of weather! Seems like summer just showed up here, but we think it’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas! LOL Anything to get our creative fix 🙂
Hope you have a great rest of your “sunny” week! ~ Cristina

  10. Kim Niznik says:

I just went through the new virtual catalog and I kinda liked it. I felt like I saw the same products multiply times and it made me kind of “bored” looking through it.

As for the WOW, whew, the week is half over and my cart is starting to overflow…:O)

    • Cristina says:

Hi Kim, The guys are still working on it, they are adding “project” pages, so maybe this will add more interest. However thanks for the feedback! and I do know what you mean about your basket….lol But I’m glad you are enjoying the Week of Webisodes! We have two more days!!! Stay tuned 😉 Thanks, Cristina
