Help Us Celebrate World Card Making Day!

Greetings Everyone! Hope you are having a great week! It’s hard to believe that September is almost over, and the holidays are coming full force!

As we end September, we are approaching one of the greatest days, World Card Making Day! So what is World Card Making day? Like we need a reason to create something fabulous? LOL! But here’s a little What, When, Who and Why about the Holiday.

World Card Making Day is a holiday especially for card makers around the world to:

  • Celebrate the creativity of handmade cards and the personal connection that they create between friends and family
  • Kick off (and get a head start on) the holiday card-making season

The first Saturday of each October, kicking off the holiday card-making season, the most popular time for creating and sharing handmade greetings.

The card-making community worldwide, including hobbyists, beginning card makers, manufacturers of card-making products, retail sellers of products, educators, and press are invited to come together to celebrate this holiday and creative passion.

It is a day to connect with fellow card makers both near and far, to applaud the creativity that powers the craft, and to provide an opportunity for card makers to connect and find resources that will empower, inspire, and encourage them in their card making.

So now that you have the 411 on the Holiday. I want to let you what Paper Wishes is doing to celebrate this day.

Wonderful idea. With so many problems here at home, it’s important to remember that they’d be a lot worse if it weren’t for our men and women serving in the military.

We will also be having a World Card Making Day event on the Paper Wishes Message Board – come join the fun on Oct 1. but do, please remember our Troops and participate in this worthwhile project!

What an honor for us beginner card makers to have our cards included in such an important event. We as beginners feel that our cards are not up to standards when it comes to challenges and actually giving our cards away when so many seasoned card makers are participating. Thank you for making me feel like I am part of this amazing creative world of card making.
